The mason is set by a charming coastal little town. Typically traditional with a sailor kind of touch, this place sets you up to a relaxing and bountiful dinner. Cherveza and jambon iberico's quality are up to the expectations.

This restaurant was recommended to us by Robert at the Hotel Arce which is only a few yards away and we enjoyed it so much that we went back the following evening. The atmosphere is lively but relaxed and the restaurant is very popular with the local residents and is already filling up by 20:15 -20:30. The menu is varied and includes a very good and very rich pulpo con tetilla, tetilla being a regional cheese. I started drinking the Mencia a regional red wine but noticed that a lot of the locals were drinking wine served from a magnum sized bottle with a large "5" on the label and so I tried that. It turned out to be a very nice Ribera del Duero.
Service was very good.

Enjoyed our visit here. Friendly staff. Good choice on the menu. In the spirit of adventure I ordered Gulla del norte though I was not sure what it was. It was shredded fish a bit like spaghetti. Unusual but it tasted good and the prawns it came with were good too. Our waitress explained that she had brought us a half portion of a cured meat starter as she felt we had over ordered but would bring us more if we wished, . She was entirely correct and that was a very helpful piece of service. A wide selection of good quality wines . The place was very busy with numbers of large family groups. They do not take bookings but we were advised to arrive around 8.30 pm and were taken immediately. By 9pm the joint was jumping! definitely a good place to go for a Galician experience.

If you are around Galicia specific in Baiona, every days during the night and all days on weekends, and want to eat the best " JAMON de Bellota " in town, has to go to Meson Fidalgo. Also you can find god wines and others plates with affordable pricing. If you are a couple, nothing better than spend some time eating and drinking felling that great atmosphere. for me and my wife the rate is 10.

Despite our very limited Spanish, the waitress helped us find what we wanted. We had smoked cod, anchioves, salad and some Estrella1
