Very good trip on the "steamer" along the lake. This is understandably regarded as the most scenic lake in the district, few buildings and just the two villages. The views are fantastic from the middle of the lake. Can be a bit chilly and such a shame that it is not steam at all...

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip on Ullswater. The scenery is spectacular from the boat and the staff were very friendly. We took a picnic and got off at the first stop where my husband took a swim from the bay whilst the kids played on the shoreline. It was pretty quiet when we went, might not be quite as relaxing in the summer holidays! A nice alternative to the popular Lake Windermere if you want to get away from the crowds.

Great way to see the beautiful Ullswater lake. Stop off at Pooley bridge, this is a lovely quaint village with a few shops, pubs and cafés. Howtown is very small but does have a lovely pub just up the road from we're the steamer stops.

Was a brilliant experience on a lovely steamer which was first launched in 1949, it's been renovated & is such a great thing to do. We had glorious weather but it would equally be good on a not so nice day. Also if you pay for a round trip you get 50%discount of the Ravenglass railway, which we also did & recommend .

We loved the Ullswater Steamer. It was recommended by our B & B hosts from The Haven at Ambleside. We left the Steamer at How Town and walked The Hallin Fell Track. It was for average ability walkers and it gave us some amazing views and fantastic picture moments. Highly recommended!
