Me and my boyfriend came here for the weekend for a little get away from the hustle and bustle of life and my God did it! The views were superb from both the room and the breakfast table! The rooms were gorgeously decorated and very clean! Breakfast was very hearty and there was more than enough to see us through the days adventures exploring Northumberland! James and Alison were very welcoming and ensured we felt right at home from check in to check out, what a great couple of hosts!
We will be back!

This place has recently been given a facelift by enthusiastic new owners. The room was very tastefully decorated and furnished with natural fabrics and colours in keeping with the stunning location very conveniently close to Hadrians Wall and all the major must visit sites. After a long day's walking how lovely to receive such a warm welcome from Alison and James the owners, and take a lovely hot shower (plentiful hot water).A small point worth mentioning-I've stayed at many 5 star hotels and so often they fail to provide hair conditioner. Not so here, for someone like me with very unruly hair this is a must.I think this illustrates how much thought and attention to detail has been given for the comfort of the guest. Its a great location as not far from Hexham and Corbridge(well worth visiting) but also Carlisle not far if you fancy a bit of retail therapy.Top notch brekkie the following morning sets you up for another day's walking. We wished we'd stayed 2 nights. Will definitely be back can imagine how relaxing it would be in winter cosied up in front of the fire, a real home from home.

Situated on Hadrian's wall this B&B is one of the best I have ever stayed in. James and Alison warm friendly hosts. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras. Breakfast cooked by Alison was hearty and set us up for another day walking the wall. Highly recommend.

Three of us stayed here when returning form a bike trip round Scotland. Have to say Diane is the perfect host and one of the nicest people you could meet. Made to feel very welcome and she helped us put the bikes safely into her barn/ garage for the night.

Rooms were large and clean and the beds were comfortable - she obviously cares about her guests comfort. She was also good enough to drop us off at the local pub for the evening meal and pick us up again afterwards. Diane talked to us about the wall and also about some local biking roads we should try so we ended up walking the wall for a bit which was a nice surprise and also riding some of the best biking roads we have been on on the way back south.

Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area/ visit Hadrians Wall or ride the A686 from Haydon Bridge to Penrith...

After a day walking Hadrian's Wall it was great to rest only a few footsteps from the national trail. A warm welcome was received and the room comfortable with plenty of space.

The village and pub (excellent food) are a few minutes walk away down the hill. Breakfast was good with some nice cereals and cooked breakfast options.

Very pleased to stay and will be back if I'm in the area again.
