“Excellent accommodation and great location for exploring the Ards Peninsula”
Reviewed 7 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Took my nonagenerian Mother away for a short holiday. The property couldn't have been better. It was very well equipped, high quality furnishings. Very comfortable. Owner was charming.

“Brilliant place! Thanks Elaine 😊”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed for three nights. Elaine is so hospitable and the place is huge and the best equipped self catering place we have ever stayed in! Elaine was so kind arranging a cot, high chair and baby bath for our little baby and there were so many toys for the older children. The welcome pack was really nice, including a bottle of wine chilling! Thanks again Elaine. A home from home. We would recommend it to anyone.

“Tip-Top!”
Reviewed 1 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Just returned from short break here and can't recommend too highly. Clean, comfy, superbly well equipped with more than a nod to being eco-friendly. We were visiting family but there is such a lot to do and see. Elaine and Clive have researched, printed out and provided endless amounts of info on walking, driving and must-see trips. Who needs the Tourist Board??
It was great - thank you.

“Fantastic accommodation, home from home!”
Reviewed 28 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Had the delight of staying in the Bridge Cottage as part of a group of 5 who were attending a large cycle race in the area. The house had everything we needed...from logs for the stove, tablets for the dish washer and powder for the washing machine, power showers, plenty of heating, and even scented towels!!

A very comfortable stay for tired bodies and nice and quiet location. Absolutely perfect...we'll definitely be back if we are in the area again - thank you!

“Fantastic, spacious family friendly holiday home”
Reviewed 2 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

I have stayed at Bridge Cottage three times now, and will certainly be returning in the future.

It is absolutely ideal for families, with small children or teenagers. My wife and I had three children with us; a thirteen year old boy, a 4 year old and a five month old baby

Everything we needed was provided, from a cot for the baby to a PlayStation 2 and board games for the others.

The teenager likes to bring his Xbox One with him, and having the second lounge with a small HD tv means we don't all have to put up with his games and he doesn't need to share the TV in the main lounge, which also has a lovely little wood burning stove (fire-guard provided) .

The garden is great for a little kick around when it isn't raining, and the kitchen is large with all the things you need to cook family meals.

It's not too far into Portaferry and the kids love getting the ferry over to Strangford. There are also beaches with rock pools, and forests to enjoy walks or bike rides not too far from the house.

It's a lovely home from home, and we look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future :)
