“Wonderful soft bed after long first day on St Cuthbert's Way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

It was 7pm when we rolled up onto the doorstep of Meadhon House, encouraged along the final few yards of a long walk from Melrose by the inviting glow of a lamp on the hall window. We quickly felt completely rejuvenated by the warmth of Joyce Cameron's welcome, reviving mugs of tea and lovely hot showers.

We stayed in room 5 which had a great view. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable and we were offered sound advice as to where to go for dinner. Sleep came speedily and breakfast was impeccable, with a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, Greek yogurt and fruit juices, not to forget a great Scottish cooked breakfast washed down by gallons of tea.

We would definitely recommend this B&B for sight seeing or as a stop on St Cuthbert's Way.

Room Tip: Room 5 had a lovely view over the town.

This was our second stay with Joyce at Meadhon House in Jedburgh and we were delighted to have booked again. A warm welcome to greet us and a lovely quiet room with views, plus free parking very close by on the street. Everything was scrupulously clean and we would recommend you look no further if you need a B&B in this area.We will be back.

You book your B&Bs and takes your chance but believe me when I say they don't come much better than this one. Lovely old house with plenty of history attached, nice comfortable well decorated rooms with lots of little extras and all close to the town. Joyce is an excellent hostess and cooks a really great breakfast to send you on your way the following morning. We would recommend this to B&B to anyone.

In the centre of Jedburgh- very short walk to the square.
Warm welcome on arrival. Family room consisted of a double and 2 single beds. Beautifully furnished, decorated and spotlessly clean. Large bathroom with good quality soft laundered towels.
Dining room spacious with ample covers- all tables laid with china crockery and more than enough choice for breakfast.
Very good choice of B&B and reasonably priced.
Highly recommended!

I echo all the reviews below-- we were sorry that we had only one night at this marvelous B&B! Beautiful house, lovely rooms, all ongoing travel details taken care of, and indeed an amazing breakfast. The town is beautiful too, it was our introduction to the border area and we hope to be back. Thank you Joyce!

A wonderful guest house well situated for the town centre. Joyce is friendly, helpful and only too eager to please. She cooks a Scottish breakfast that not only tastes great but is worthy of a photograph when laid before you. We only stayed one night but we intend to visit the borders again and when we do we will stay here. Can't recommend highly enough.

My fiancé and I stopped here for two nights while visiting Jedburgh and were impressed as soon as we walked in the door. The B&B is very clean and Joyce who greeted us is one of the nicest lady's that I have met. She was always happy to help with any questions we had about the area and recomended a few places for us to visits, one of which was a lovely little bookshop is St. Boswells that I'm glad we drove to. The room was spotless (I would recomend trying I get room 5, excellent view!) and the breakfasts was delicious. Even while serving multiple tables, Joyce couldn't do enough for us, she definitely takes pride in her guests happiness.

I would recomend staying here and next time I am in the area or more than a day I will be booking here again.
