Had a good night in Jedburgh. Traditional hotel in a great location. Host was good company, funny and knowledgable. Menu had something to suit all tastes - basic but freshly cooked to order. Breakfast was great.

The owner was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Tge room was great and clean enough. The shower was brilliant. Defo would go back again. The owner told us where was good to eat, and certainly didn't disappoint. Plenty of room for on site parking

Had the family out for a meal, everyone enjoyed their meal and the restaurant was cosy and welcoming. Good service and reasonably prices too. Staff very helpful. Plenty space to park, Will certainly go again.

Booked in advance for a couple weeks and was looking forward to the meal as the reviews were really great
Sadly tonight I was more than disappointed!
To start with we were placed in the bar to eat and 4 seats short so that caused a problem!
Rather than sort things out by offering a new table or even joining on another table this was left for our selfs to sort out!
We then got the food I personally ordered the steak what cost just shy of 17 pound what I thought was a fare price until it arrived!
More fat than meat watered down peppercorn sauce and the service was shocking
During the meal one of the kids ordered a juice and when it was brought to the table the bar man was more concerned on who was paying the pound for it!
Now 14 people spending about fifty pound per head on drinks and food and you have someone being rude like that in my eyes is unacceptable!
I've ate in some of the best hotels and restaurants in the uk but tonight I was stunned!
All in all terrible service over priced food and terrible atmosphere
Won't be back!!

Loved this hotel! Our greeting (Audrey) was quick and cheerful. Alex (the owner) is more fun than a barrel of whisky. Our room was large, the bed was a king (super comfy), the view spectacular and the bathtub glorious. Drinks in the bar before dinner was a jovial and interactive experience. The food was a bit lacklustre (no parmesan for tomato pasta?) but the service was stellar and Alex himself served us breakfast. Highly recommended! We would return in a heartbeat!
