“Lovely B&B with great hosts!!”
Reviewed 7 September 2013 via mobile

We had our second stay at Rosebank in August, Mal & Paul are really lovely hosts who make sure you are well looked after!
The forest room is roomy with great view out on to the garden. The breakfasts are always tasty and filling!!
The two wee dogs tessy and scamp are very friendly and cute :)
All in all I would highly recommend a stay here and we will be coming back soon!

The B& B is situated in a wonderful location away from the main bustle of Callander. The hosts were both warm and friendly. The breakfast selection was varied and freshly cooked to order and personal preference without fault!

Compared to prices in Callander, this B&B offers much more in respect of value, comforts of home and a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth every penny spent.

Room Tip: Having spent a night in both rooms, the Garden room provides a larger room, with a shower ensuite, w...

The road outside is a tad busy but, that apart, there is nothing to criticise at the Rosebank House Hotel. You walk through the door and you know you are going to like it.

The bedrooms are large and comfortable with attractive touches of the Orient introduced by the owner, an artist who headed from London to Strathyre with a view to having more time to paint. On the one hand she is disappointed that that ‘time’ has never materialised; on the other she is happy that the B&B is such a success.

The garden is a stand-out feature. It is wide, 150 yards long and uphill and, if you lie back on one of the two deck chairs sited half way up the slope, you look back at the house with the mountains beyond – at least until you fall asleep.

Breakfast came up to the by then very high expectations while, when it was discovered that the Forestry Commission had closed the section of forest which was on our walking route to Lochearnhead, our hostess started us off on the correct and possibly confusing alternative path.

Room Tip: you could ask for a view over the garden

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this wonderful B & B. Mal and Paul were excellent hosts. We stayed with our two dogs who were made very welcome. We stayed in the Garden room which was a good size and had a lovely en suite and gave easy access to the garden and forest beyond which was great for the dogs. Mel provides an excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day and includes a wide variety of cereals, fruit salad, yogurts etc as well as a good choice of cooked breakfast -can recommend the traditional which we had for 6 mornings opting for something later on our last day when we weren't walking it off!!! Looking forward to our next visit.

Rosebank House is far and away the best B&B we have stayed in and we cannot fault it.
Hospitality; so very friendly and helpful.
Food: very wide variety including the usual English breakfasts, loads of cereals, kippers, fresh fruit and yoghurts in variety, plus a great haggis dish.
Room: spacious , homely furnishings and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, with a wonderful view of the back garden. Also a TV that actually works with a wide range of programmes
The shower was the best we have ever used and the bathroom had a full range of every toiletry you could ever need.
Thank you, Mal and Paul for a wonderful 10 day holiday shared with our friends; you could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: Back rooms have great view of the lovely garden

Unlike saltyre of Newport my wife and I along with two other friends spent a very happy 10 days at Rosebank house and from the very warm reception we received to our departure everything from the Bedrooms to the food, the hospitality was excellent. The room we had was very clean along with the shower and it had everything the holiday maker could wish for(more than most 4 star hotels would provide. The breakfast choice was very very good from cereal and fruit to the more traditional British Breakfasts and the cooking first class we could not have wished for more. So a big thank you from us to Mal and Paul for making us feel welcome.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter because of the close proximity of the A84
