“Very charming place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014

We stayed over for just one night as we were walking the Rob Roy Way. After climbing the Ben Ledi which is not far off and offers splendid views (ofcourse also a feeling of self-satisfaction when reaching the top), we were very happy to take a breather from the past ordeals. Mal was a very welcoming hostess and keeps a warm and cosy B&B. Breakfast was more than plenty! Also a nice library of dvd's/books should the weather not be kind. Not to forget, such a beautiful garden, my mind was literally wandering a bit while listening to birds chirping :-) So to conclude, well worth a visit!

My wife and I stayed at Rosebank House in July 2014, seven years almost to the day since we last stayed. Our only regret is that we haven't returned sooner.

Although it was only the two of us, this time we got the family room (Forest suite) because it was the only one available for our schedule. This room, actually with two connected bedrooms, is ideal for parents with children, giving both generations privacy and comfort but without separation.

The B&B is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The beds are very comfortable, just what you need after a day's walking in the spectacular local area. Each room has its own breakfast table downstairs, and the breakfasts are themselves almost worth the visit - much comes from a local butcher, so you aren't getting generic supermarket food. There's plenty of choice too, so you aren't constrained to a fry up.

There's a garden, which is maturing well, and a small conservatory when the weather precludes

Paul and Mal are the loveliest and kindest hosts we've met in this country. You're sure of a warm and friendly welcome, not to mention local knowledge and tips there for the asking. They were also backers of the recent tarmac footpath extending to Kingshouse two miles further north (and further in either direction, but we walked to Kingshouse), which enables you to walk away from the main road but without having to make your way through fields. This is ideal for cycling and horses as well as walking.

We can't recommend Rosebank House highly enough. We intend to return in the autumn, seven years being far too long between visits.

Room Tip: All rooms are clean and comfortable. Don't be reluctant if you have children, because the Forest...

Euan and Irina,
It was a pleasure seeing you again and we enjoyed the wide-ranging conversation in the conservatory. We look forward to seeing you again and meeting your daughter.

Stopped off in Strathyre completely by chance on the way further north. We had a dog with us so this limited our choice, but we fell on our feet with Rosebank. After 300 miles it was great to walk through the gate in the garden, round the village tennis court and be in the woods and hills. Slept well and an excellent breakfast set us up for the second part of a marathon trek from Leicester to North West Scotland.
Highly recommended

Only stayed one night as this was the B&B picked while on the Rob Roy Way. A beautiful lovely house. The rooms were spotless and the decorations just beaufiful. The warm friendly welcome after a long day was so nice. We were given two rooms which was a special treat. The breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend this B&B.

Once again we have enjoyed the warm hospitality of Paul and Mal

You walk into their property and immediately their friendly nature comes through.

The rooms are spotless the bed linen smell so fresh and you know you will have a good nights sleep

Waking refreshed in the morning you are welcomed with an array of fruit juices and cereals

The breakfast menu ranges from toast to a full English Breakfast with a choice of Black pudding or Haggis accompanied by coffee or tea and rounding off with toast and preserve

Brian and Maureen Anderson

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

Stayed here on 26/05/2014. Lovely house with excellent hosts. Great breakfast. The Rob Roy way walk was diverted here and Mrs. Dingle even walked with us to show us the poorly signed
diversion along the river. (2 miles). I would recommend this b and b to anyone visiting that area

Small B&B with 4 rooms on the main road north from Callander. It is a 19th century house originally, extended in the 1930s and has the spaciousness of that era. Well decorated, comfortable bedroom with all the facilities expected - en suite, TV, tea/coffee maker etc. Warm, friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast.

Room Tip: Garden room has lovely views of the garden and is at the back of the house away from the main road...
