Lovely peaceful ,relaxing escape.Stayed here for a late booking ,as we travel with our two faithful hounds this was a great choice.Skye and Zelda both enjoyed this please as much as we did,Zelda did insist that we move the dining table and chairs over to one side so that she had a clear view out of the window ,where she would sit and look out at the bay and the passing sheep all day and all the little birds that came to the window and looked at her.Well equipped chalet ,warm and clean.Good shower over the bath.Towels and bed linen included.Best bit - The view

We stayed here for a week from 14 th November and loved it. We had to endure the end of storm Abigail with 70mph gusts and torrential rain, in fact the whole week was wet and windy but the chalet was a warm, safe haven in the storms. Easy to heat, great shower, reliable wi-fi, lots of extra little touches - made for a comfortable stay. The whole area is beautiful, the views are stunning and it is easy to get to Lochinver shops for supplies. We explored the area easily by car, dodging the showers and nothing could detract from the awe-inspiring scenery. This was our first time in this part of Scotland and we will definitely be back!
Came here for peace and quiet. It was a lovely place to stay and plenty to do near by. Would recommend to anyone. Pet friendly too.
The cabin at Kirkaig was good.It has a great location on the bay, in a very quiet village. The cabin itself is in need of some TLC. It does have all the pots and crockery etc you should need, altough actually it's best if you don't want to use the oven as it takes an eternity to cook anything but we got there in the end!
The rooms are quite spacious, except the kitchen area is a bit neat. The veranda is awesome, and the deer were often around, and the resident sheep!
The owners use a key box to let you into the cabin which was very handy but I missed the personal touch. The electric is paid for using an honesty system which worked fine, but my preference is that this is included in the rate.

thank you - we had a great stay and the property was warm and snug to come back to each evening. Great location and Lochinver was a very warm welcoming town!
I came to this chalet with my partner in May & we had a great week. We sat on the balcony a few nights & seen the Deer most nights. We found the chalets very clean & comfortable. We loved taking the car round to the sandy beaches at Achmelvich & Clachtoll. We liked the Culag woods walk & the Leitir Easaidh All-abilities walk with stunning views. We climbed Stac Pollaidh & hoping to do Suilven next time. The chalets are an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. I'd recommend Peet's Restaurant in Lochinver for a meal as well. I seen another review about scratched pots - there was no scratched pots (so obviously been replaced). I'll be back at this chalet, loved the rural location away from my busy home life.

Based with an unspoilt view to the bay, you can get a comfortable possibility to stay for a few days. If you like watching 2 and 4 legged animals outside as well as 6 and 8 legged inside and don‘t have a problem with unfortunately third class kitchen utensil (scratched pots, ...), you can think about booking it. Deer close to the veranda every day is nice to see, but unfortunately because of deer all around, this is an area with lots of ticks, so you need to prepare against tick bites! Pre-payment is obligatory and will take a fee by the bank twice (initial and final payment). You can start outside activities from right there or just enjoy relaxation and can get everything you need for self-catering and a few nice restaurants in near Lochinver. New buldings are now around, so maybe the pictures you discover anywhere online are out-dated.
