What a nice place to stay the night!!

The room was lovely and large and the bed was to die for. Clean and comfortable with a luxury feel to the room.

Breakfast was the best we had on our trip around the Highlands.

Clearly this place is better that the 3 stars given here.

After some poor reviews some time ago was not sure what to expect. What a pleasant experience. A very comfortable guest house/hotel set in the delightful village of Plockton. Clean bright and beautifully furnished with a warm welcome that made you feel at home from the start. The king size bed was so comfortable that my wife and I didn't want to move in the morning. Thankfully we just made breakfast which was superb - a wonderful help yourself buffet. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. 5 stars all round and owners who really care.

Room Tip: All rooms are fitted to a high standard. Those in the front have a better view of the harbour but ov...

The Haven is a first rate place to stay in Plockton. Nice new crisp decoration in rooms. The owners are friendly and efficient. Excellent location next to a good food pub. Very good breakfast. Very good value and comfortable. Plockton itself is well worth a visit.

The new owners have transformed this guest house. Rooms are lovely with sea views. The bed is the comfiest I think I've ever stayed in. Breakfast was really, really good - so much choice! And finally the couple who run it are generous, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here.

I travel to Kyle of Lochalsh on business several times a year and find the choice of hotels there very poor - least said best! For the last 5 years or so I have stayed at Plockton in one of the two hotels in the village - both of which are excellent.
I heard that the Haven Guest House was opened under new management and decided to stay there since I have fond memories of having been a guest there many years ago before it closed. I certainly wasn't disappointed.
Gerry and Helen were fabulous hosts and couldn't do enough to ensure my 6 night stay was a pleasant one. They have invested a great deal to improve the facilities available, and what they offer now is B&B of the highest order. The rooms are all freshly decorated and well equipped. Flat screen TV's, free Wi-Fi and en-suites.
Breakfast is excellent, with a wide range available and perfectly cooked. If need be, you can take on enough calories to keep you going until dinner. Although the Haven doesn't offer evening meals you are spoilt for choice in Plockton. The Inn, Hotel and Shores are three top notch establishments to dine for lunch or evening meals.
So do yourself a favour and let Gerry & Helen treat you to some wonderful highland hospitality, I know I will in the not too distant future.

We were a large group who stayed for 3 consecutive nights (end May/early June 2014) and between us occupied - a double, a twin, a family room (double with a connected twin room) and a single. The new owners have refurbished and transformed this guest house, now known as 'The Haven' and only tripadvisor reviews left since Spring 2014 are relevant. The new owners and managers are experienced hoteliers, very warm, friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about Plockton and the local area. The Haven is in a great location right in Plockton, in walking distance of everything and with lovely walks on the doorstep. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and it is delicious - don't forget to try the scones, freshly baked every morning. The rooms are tastefully decorated and a high quality of cleanliness is maintained. Sleep quality? the challenge is to find comfier beds! Our group had stayed in 5 other locations during our tour of the Highlands and Inner Hebrides, Plockton was the last point of call and we all agreed 'The Haven' had the comfiest beds. It only remains to say thank you to the owners and yep, you have guessed - we would all stay again.

The new owners are experienced hoteliers having owned & run a good quality larger hotel for many years and will now be excellent ambassadors for Plockton. We were met at Kyle pier and taken by Gerry to the Haven and again on our departure to the railway station receiving an excellent guided tour; great service. The rooms are all refurbished and as an example of the quality the whole hotel has been carpeted with the very "best of stuff". The test always is "would I go back?" and "would I feel safe in recommending?" and I can say with real confidence "Yes" in both cases. Plockton itself is an absolute gem of a spot and now here is accommodation which matches the experience.
