A great stay at a charming bed and breakfast in the beautiful village of Plockton. The rooms are lovely, the breakfast fantastic and the hostess Miriam very helpful. You have a pub over the road, restaurants round the corner and views wherever you look, we'll be back!

I've not had a better breakfast anywhere else - posh hotels included! Miriam, the owner, couldn't be more hospitable, and it's within walking distance of the shore, pubs and great restaurants. Well recommended and definitely value for money.

Couldn't recommend more highly.
B&B is in the perfect location (right opposite the pub and next to fish and chip shop), AMAZING breakfasts and Miriam is so friendly and helpful.
Plockton is the most beautiful town and perfect for a long weekend getaway.

If you find The Manse, that is if you've found Plockton in the first place, then creep away quietly and don't tell everyone. Keep this little gem to yourself. I mean, where else in the world could you have found a stunning art gallery, been offered a four-poster bedroom with a deep bath in a vast bathroom, then had breakfasts of ancient Persian dimensions and beauty laid down before you by artist/gallery owner/landlady/general facilitator Miriam (and each day's breakfast different from the last!)? Eh? Just where?! With Plockton harbour and its incredible views over to Torridon/Applecross just metres away, with the Plockton inn and its fine evening meals and fabulous Thursday-night folk music just centimetres away, then why would you want the world to know? You don't want to risk your next slot in paradise being already taken, do you? So relish the memories, savour the prospect of the next time and - sssshhh!

The word has got about...nobody knows about us..... I am empty this week! But the sun has gone away although there is a lovely fresh sailing breeze. Just awaiting my huskie racing/gas engineer friend, he is going to service my big cooker, and i am going to feed him whatever he wants at The Shores and let him stay in the best room- OMG- that's your room Angie!
I do LOVE bartering.
Actually I could do with some more Lady Gardeners but you're too sucsessful now ;-(
Thanks for a super unique review. Come back soon. Plockton and I need your visitations. It brings out the sun! and love to Alex, mxx

The Manse is right in the centre of Plockton. A lovely village on a sea lock. Rooms are charming with some wonderful paintings -the Manse is also a gallery. (We nearly bought one until we realised we had missed a zero in the price!). Rooms are wonderfully laid out with superb bathrooms. Breakfast is superb and set you up for the day. The owner is extremely welcoming and entertaining and recommended some superb walks. (One out of centre of Plockton is highly recommended after a large dinner). A highly recommended stay in a superb location.

Room Tip: Most rooms are delightful.

This is a lovely house and garden festooned with original art! Extremely clean and comfortable room with tea making facilities. Beautiful bathroom with lots of hot water and some quirky bits and pieces! Breakfast was amazing with fresh bread and home made jams. Plockton is extremely picturesque and we were so lucky to have sunshine in September! Will definitely be back!

Thanks, Jan, it was good fun meeting you two, too! I couldnt find a card for your glass artist friend, please tell her to send me info. I am always interested in new artists. Narrative glass light boxes sound amazing. Glad you enjoyed your weekend here. Miriam

Opposite the Plockton Inn and round the corner from the Plockton Hotel and The Shores, excellent meals out are easy to arrange. As an article in the May 2013 Yachting Monthly says, " if anything, you've too many views around Plockton.
