While Boga Lake itself isn't all that spectacular, the journey is. You have the option of traveling via jeep or simply hiking in from Ruma Bazaar. Back country hiking in the Chittagong Hill Tracts was by far my highlight of a month in BD. You'll have to pull some strings, but if you hook up with Imran at the cell phone repair shop in Ruma (don't worry, it's a tiny town and everyone knows Imran), you may be able to travel well beyond Boga into the serious back country known as the Chittagong Hill Tracts. My trek involved 5 nights and we scaled the four tallest peaks in Bangladesh. Boga was simply the first evening stop on the tour. This is a different world back here, folks, and one well worth seeing before it gets swallowed up by tourism and modern life. During my time in this area, I did not see another tourist from either Europe or the Americas. Truly off the beaten path.
