Spent 3 nights at this hotel in December 2013.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The morning buffet was really good.
The hotel covered all our basic requirements and made our stay a very pleasant one.
Totally worth the money you pay them.

We can call this a resort for the facilities it offers and it's great value for money paid. There is opportunity for improvement with regard to travel desk. I would recommend this as a good option to my friends.

This hotel is a very good one and prices are really 1-2 levels cheaper than what you get.
Rooms are good, food is OK, nice staff and lobby, and it really feels like a hotel (which is not obvious in Kerala).
The drawback is in the location.
In order to reach the island from Kochi tourist area (Fort Kochi) you need to take a ferry. We waited for the ferry 40 minutes or so (in the afternoon) and we didn't even considered going out to see Fort Kochi in the evening or in the next morning.
We had a very short time in Kochi and we actually missed the option to travel around because of the location.
So I would say that if you are not limited with time it's a great option.
Otherwise it's better to stay at Fort Kochi itself.

Visited PJ princes on 9th NOV 2013 with my spouse and 7 years kid. Stayed for 2 days. The hotel is approx 40km from Airport and approx 10 to 12 km from railway station. It is a three star hotel but I will rate it as four star. Overall a very pleasant stay and excellent service. The entire staff is very co-operative and helpful. Special thanks to Neelu , Baiju , restaurant , housekeeping and other staff . . My special thanks to Mr. Andrew, Operation manager.
This hotel has many things for a kid to enjoy, a well maintain pool, boating, basketball and indoor games. The property is well maintained and has a beautiful garden,. However there is possibility for more plantations. The rooms are well maintained, large and clean. The restaurant was also decent and food is good. From this hotel you can visit Fort Kochi (Chinese fisher net, St Francis church.) Hiring an auto from church you can visit palace and Jewish Syangaue. It is good market for art loving people. Also from here you can catch a boat and visit marine drive. It is built facing the backwaters, and is a popular hangout for the local populace. It is as an important center of shopping activity in Kochi. Again from Marine drive you catch boat to Vypin Island (Hotel). The ferry/boat fare is very reasonable. Cherai beach is very far from hotel. However you can hire an auto/taxi and visit Cherai beach and a good boating place and other places in between. Lulu mall and Mattancherry Palace (on the way to Lulu mall) is approx 12 km from Hotel.
Conclusion: Strongly recommend P J Princes . Value for money with discount rate.

We arrived here at 530am and they allowed us to check in for 1500r and upgraded us to a superior room. The room was large clean and had all required including a large balcony. The breakfast was good. We had the buffet dinner one night which could have been warmer although it was good and plenty of variety. Fort cochi is easy to get to by the frequent ferry for 2 rupees. The only down side is there is no alcohol sold which is a pity. Taxis ordered in the hotel are overpriced get one from the tourist information centre in kochi. We got one to Alleppey for 1300r hotel wanted 2500r. Staff were all excellent couldn't do enough for you. Not much to do around hotel so its either the beach or cochi.
