The pool water was green with slimy growth on the top, the television was VERY old with a picture that was extremely dark, the room reeked of cigar smoke, the grounds hadn't been mowed and there was trash (including roof shingles and beer cans) on the walk in front of the exterior side door. Not a good way to spend two days with an 11- and 12-year old who had been in the car for 14 hours. In addition, I went to the lobby at 5:45 am to get coffee and the attendant got nasty with me and told me that breakfast wasn't served until 6:00. When I told her that I just wanted coffee, she again said that breakfast wasn't served until 6:00 am

Any one planning to stay here should understand there is no elevator. It is a bit grim hauling your luggage up steps and in non air conditioned hallways. OK with cleanliness but not outstanding. Not a good place to stay. There has to better hotels in the area.

This hotel was nice and the front desk was very helpful and courteous. If you are not familiar with "frontage roads" it can be confusing getting to the hotel (a frontage road runs parallel with the highway). We were given excellent directions to a local restaurant for dinner and we drove straight to the door without a problem.

I had to stay here because I was trapped in a traffic jam that delayed me through Memphis. It was quite dark when I pulled in, and I had not had dinner. Unfortunately there is no restaurant in the hotel or within walking distance (and I would not feel safe even walking a block or two in the area). Since it's on the one-way I-55/40 service road, I would have had to get back in the car and loop around the interstate to get back to the Cracker Barrel a couple-three blocks back up the highway. There is no elevator, and my single suitcase (for a 3-wk trip) weighed over 50 lbs. The hallways are un-airconditioned, the bed was awful--clean but hard as a rock--and I had to run the AC full blast all night to stay cool. The room was 50% larger than the cheap furniture they tried to fill it with. At least the shower was clean and there was a little coffeemaker. But it was such a crappy place overall I didn't even stay for the cont. brkfst. The sooner I got out of there, the better. I got a sr. discount, room w/tax about $65.

By all appearances, the hotel looks nice. I thought the hallways were a bit dimly lit, but OK. The problem was the room. Our room appeared clean enough, but had an odd smell. Kind of a musty/moldy smell, but you eventually got used to it. The heater only felt like it heated when it was turned all the way up. Breakfast was OK. Definitely nothing elaborate though. Hotel staff was friendly.

First of all, the price for a king room, non smoking is ridiculous at this place. There is a very nice and new Comfort Suites right behind this hotel and I highly recommend you stay there instead!

Our room at the Quality Inn was hot and damp and smelled of cat urine. The room was not clean. There were hairs in the bed and on the counter in the bathroom and the wall near the bed had what looked to be dried boogers smeared on the wall. I was ready to check out as soon as we checked in. Please don't waste your money here!
