Stopped here for 1 night on our road trip, at check in we were met with a sign telling us the bar etc were closed.
The hotel had no life, it had just changed hands, so hopefully it will have a face lift.
Rooms were clean with comfy beds, but the furniture looked worn out, badly scratched, generally old.
We had a comfy quiet nights sleep, considering it was so close to the highway, we heard no traffic noise.
The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, with lots of choice, the only down side was that plates, cutlery etc were all plastic!!! A real put off, so had to go back up to the room to get glasses and mugs to drink from, as plastic cups are horrible to drink from.
Good place to stay, but the highlight was the restaurant next door, which was excellent.

Room tip: Take your own crockery & cutlery...

Breakfast of plastic plates, the building looks aged and the personnel is all but helpfull. The showers are outdated and don't even reach high enough to really shower. I've had a bad experience, to be short

Very warm reception by the staff. Rooms are ample size and very clean. The only thing the hotel was missing was an exercise room. It's nice to have inside rhetoric residences with all the hallways interior. Very secure location

Very convenient location. Steakhouse on the property and many restaurants in the area. For those Money savers -it was right next to a Costco. they have the lowest gas prices between Phoenix and San Francisco

We plan on using this facility on our trips in the future.

This place was decent. It was very clean, and the buffet was more than most need. Its close to some pretty good restaurants and some good shopping near by. Unfortunately, the only bummer was the hotel didn't have a gym. However, they did have a gym across the street (24hr) which was perfect.

Of particular use was the Hotel shuttle service since we had 6 bags and a bicycle traveling with us. Pickup at Amtrak station and next day deliver to Budget car rental at the airport. Efficient friendly service, and an amazing low room rate. This was part of a honeymoon trip so lack of hassles was greatly appreciated. The free breakfast was better than most, with lots of tables and no seating issues. Hot food was eggs, sausage and bacon. Selection of cereals, and the make your own waffles. Bakersfield is not the most common travel destination, but if i came through again i would stay here.
