We stayed here in our exploration of Bakersfield motels as way stations between San Diego and the Bay Area during holiday seasons when properties on the 101 are too pricey. We decided to give this a go. Not a bad place, close to what passes as downtown Bakersfield. It has a smallish parking structure, and a visiting norteňo band parked outside with a trailer. With the band, the motel seemed full but was quiet.
A good place to try a downtown restaurant, which we did. Getting out of the motel is a bit tricky because of a supposed forced right turn, but one can u turn right away.
Had a nice dinner elsewhere, which was good because the breakfast was very minimalist with a Tang orange juice.
All in all not a bad experience.More
