This is a small cabin yet good size for a two bedroom cabin, I don't know why it's listed as hotel. If you want a quiet place to camp, but still want the convince of tv, shower, kitchen, microwave refrigerater than this is the place for you. Scott's valley is down the road as well as Santa Cruz, Capitola. If your looking for a quick quiet weekend get away, you can read, sit on the deck and look at the deer that come in the area. Oh we stayed in cabin # 10 which is located high on the hill, so you can hike down if you care to go to the pool, which was already closed due to the season.

Room Tip: Cabins7-10 areon the top of a steep hill if you care to be alone. If you want to be on a lower level choose others

Stayed in #4, no smoking. Has basic cable and WiFi. It was quiet and clean. Jaye's is on the shady side of the road, which makes it a little damp in the Fall, but that is outside, and the heating, while it is a gas wall heater, works. Shower was clean, but is small. Friendly staff. Rate was $83.50 with tax, which is way less than the Merrybrook Lodge in Boulder Creek. Will stay here again in the future.

Looks charming and well-kept from the outside, but the inside is way overdue for maintenance. We stayed during the month of September when the weather was good, but it smelled musty and everything felt damp (carpet, sheets, towels). Kitchen was shabby with years of embedded dirt. Shower didn't drain well, and I ended up standing in several inches of water (flip-flops wouldn't have helped--I immediately went out to buy anti-fungal spray for my feet). The woman in the office was friendly and tried to be helpful, but this just couldn't make up for the yuck factor.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night before heading back home on our trip. One of the owners (Amita) was very nice. We stayed in cabin #9 which was one of the hilltop cabins (I'm glad we weren't put in one of the lower cabins by the office) and I was sorry it didn't have a fireplace, but it did have a really cool deck with some comfy chairs to sit in. After unpacking, we sat on the deck and drank some wine before going to dinner at the Tyrolean Inn down the road. Our cabin was small and charming, and on the rustic side. I liked it well enough, but thought it could be improved with better furnishings. The futon wasn't the most comfortable, the bathroom was very small, and the bed was so-so. The best thing about the cabin was the outdoor deck, except that the noise from highway 9 was pretty loud. I remember thinking it was so beautiful and serene, but for the traffic below us. If it weren't for the highway, it would have been so peaceful. The views were nice though, and we loved being surrounded by beautiful redwoods. All in all, we had a fun stay.

Room Tip: Try to get a cabin up on the hill. The ones down below looked less attractive and were right on the highway.
