“Specialty grocery store”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2014

Residents of Berkeley are lucky enough not to be trapped under the net of giant supermarket chains. I am very jealous of their supreme selection of boutique grocery stores. Tokyo Fish Market is one of those tiny stores that really packed a punch. As the name implied, they specializes in fish. You can order all kinds of sashimi grade fish by the pound from their counter. If that is too intimidating for you, there is always the pre-packaged section to the rescue. While you are there, don't forget to check out the meat, fresh produce and Japanese goodies.

“Japanese household goods & unique items”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2014

If you/your kid(s) like Hello Kitty or Totoro, they have some fun stuff here. Beautiful bowls & mugs, as well as traditional cookware that's not easy to find elsewhere (all these are at the "Gift Shop" building. The market is great to find traditional Japanese (& other asian style) foods & ingredients. I enjoy visiting this store often because you never know what you'll find.

“the best fish market in town!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

I feel so fortunately to have the Tokio Fish Market near my house! I eat only fish, vegetables and cereals so fish is a very important part of my diet.Tokio Fish Market have the fish always fresh, the taste is delicious and I am safe eating it raw or cooked. I could not stand the smell and taste of old fish you can buy at regular food chain stores.
