We looked on TA for sushi places when we were in Berkeley and made a booking at Joshua-ya. We were fortunate to get a table outside (it was a beautiful night) and enjoyed the somewhat rustic setting while waiting for the food to arrive. The wait, however, turned out to be quite long (around 45 min). The staff were very apologetic and tried to speed things up and eventually the food arrived. We ordered fatty salmon nigiri (excellent) and two rolls (rainbow roll and a salmon avocado roll), also quite good. Price was reasonable. All in all, it was a very pleasant meal. It should also be noted that Joshu-ya is close to, but not on Telegraph Ave, so it is quiet and away from the Telegraph crowds.
