This was our second trip to L A and this hotel, which didn’t disappoint. The staff are friendly and the rooms are pretty spacious. We upgraded to a junior suite which works out more economical if you do it when you get there, rather than when booking. The restaurant is good but the lack of the Trader Vic’s restaurant was a little disappointing, this closed a while back apparently. The pool staff are very attentive and will get you drinks, fruit and food if you require it and all seem to have fascinating stories to tell of their would be acting or singing careers in the pipeline.
The hotel does have a lot of conventions and private functions which is normally interesting as they all arrive in huge cars and dressed to kill, but this time we were asked to leave the pool area at 3 pm without much warning in order to get the area ready for a private function, which obviously didn’t include us. And again the following evening we were not allowed to use the outdoor bar area as a party was taking place again. I think this would have been okay if we had been told of this prior to our visit or even on our arrival, as we are of course paying customers too. However this didn’t spoil our enjoyment and even though this hotel is getting on a bit it’s still a pretty classy hotel and the staff are all willing to help in every way possible to make your stay a good one, from the doorman getting the hotel limo if it’s available for short journeys, to the concierge who will arrange all your touring and dining requirements.
The only miserable person we came across was the Korean Bar Manager who was aware of us being at the bar most evening s for a pre dinner drink and did not once say good evening to us. He obviously didn’t like us having any sort of conversation with his staff. In general a good hotel and in a good location.

We stayed here for 4 nights and must say the hotel did dissapoint. If we hadn't prepaid our accommodation we wouldn't have stayed.

The service left a lot to be desired. We had several issues, where due to faults with our tv we were told we had instructed service staff not to bother fixing it?! We made multiple attempts to contact management and the concierge (who was busy on other calls at 8pm!) We waited for 1.5 hours for an internet cable after requesting one and various other issues.

The rooms themselves were dissapointing. We booked a junior suite which was only very slightly larger than a standard room anywhere else. It had a sofa in it, which I am imagining was why it was called a suite?

The decor in the rooms is very bland and ordinary. It had been recently refurbed, but lacked any creativity, style or pizzaz. Apart from the common areas which were 50s/60s cool.

I certainly wouldn't stay at this hotel again but would recommend it if you need something central and are a business or overnight traveller, doing a quick in and out. As it was clean (apart from our windows which were grubby). I am dissapointed at having paid as much as we did only to be dissapointed and would definately stay elsewhere in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed here about 2 years ago, and it was the most beautiful hotel ever. Awards were going on while we were staying there, so we got to see a bunch of celebs! Its a little pricey, but it was definitly worth it to me! Right down the block from Rodeo, you can walk there!

Rooms are small and ok but for the money I think you can find better hotels. Luckily I used my HHonor points.

This is the second time I have stayed here and the hotel is great for a couple of nights in Beverly Hills. Its 10 mins walk (if that) to Rodeo drive and only 30 mins or so from LAX.
Stayed in a polside room last time and then in one of the higher rooms this time, both were great. They showed a film one night projected onto the wall by the pool and it was a great idea, you could sit on the lounger and watch a movie , nice touch

If I was in Beverly Hills I would definately stay again, only gripe is the parking fee that you have to pay, I just resent paying like $28 dollars to park in a hotel, so leave the car if you can
