“Great Time at the Beverly Hilton”
Reviewed 10 August 2010

We had a group of two 16 year old girls and four woman. We stayed 3 nights in the Oasis Tower and everything was great. We really enjoyed to pool after dinner. The kids sweam and the adults lounged by the pool and on the weekends they have a DJ. The rooms were very clean and the beds were amazing, the most comfortable I have ever slept on. We ate a few times at Ronies Restuarant just down the street. It is a small place with great resaonably priced food. We also walked to Sprinkles cupcakes a few times. The location was great and we cannot wait to return. Carlos the driver will drive you anywhere within a few miles and always with a smile!

After an 11 hour flight we arrived at the Beverly Hilton in the evening for a 4 night stop in LA. We checked into our room, which was situated in the lower level block to the left of the lobby. I was disappointed. The room was clean, but desperately needed modernising. The TV was not working and the air conditioning was really loud. We popped to the concierge who recommended The Cheesecake Factory for dinner ( near Rodeo Drive) and went out for dinner. Nice easy walking distance to Rodeo Drive.
That night I was woken up to a large water leak through our bathroom ceiling. At 3am I was stood at reception and the Night Manager was very helpful. We were immediately upgraded to a Junior Suite which was situated in the Wiltshire tower. What a difference in rooms. We also had breakfast on the house that morning, plus they paid for my swimming costume to be replaced as it was hanging in the bathroom just where the water leak occurred. For the four of us breakfast came to $100. The breakfast was great, but the only time we had breakfast as it was too expensive.
The swimming pool area was great, but only got time for one swim. In the evening you could watch movies on the large white wall in the swimming pool area, which looked great, but we didn't have time for.
The new room was great. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Everything was perfect.
The car parking was very convenient and $29 per day.
I would definitely recommend, but only if staying in the Wiltshire tower.

If your looking for a little glitz and glamour, as well as comfort, in the heart of Beverly Hills at a reasonable price, then this hotel would be a first class choice. The standard double - double room was fine for our family of four for three days (about 300 sq ft) and there is plenty of cupboard space. The hotel itself has three wings of rooms all connected at ground floor level by a spacious reception area which includes a bar, a hotel shop, rest rooms, and entrances to the function rooms (where the Golden Globe ceremony amongst others, is held). On the lower ground floor you find Trader Vics and the large swimming pool area (one of the biggest in the area) which is one of the "In" places to see and be seen in Beverly Hills. High service levels everywhere and there is a buzz about the place where you really get the feeling that it is part of Hollywood folklore - and the photos and momentos all over the hotel do nothing to dispel that feeling.
Location is great, 10-15 minutes walk to Rodeo Drive and several great restaurants (but I recommend Trader Vics). Breakfast is great, but expensive at $30 per head, although there is a Starbucks just across the road.
Parking is expensive of course, at over $40 per day for the valet service and the self parking facility is not much cheaper. Also, they want to charge you for the internet, although it's free in the reception area where there is plenty of room to sit with your PC.
All in all, I recommend this hotel, particularly if you can get a good rate which includes parking or breakfast.

Stayed one nite due to location, close to everything. Paid over 400 for a 1 bedroom cabana room. Found out it's just a room, no extra space, outdated, no cabana, everything smells like smoke (threw pillows on the floor). Opened our "cabana sliding doors to find all chaise lounge's taken 3 feet from our room. Pool is not heated-our 7 year would not go in. Pool area is filled with hip type's & quiet.
On the plus side: service is top notch. Half price happy hour 5-7 is very good. Cool hotel if in the 200 -300 price range & went non-smoking.

We have stayed at the Hilton many times over the last few years, going back to before it was refurbished. This trip we coughed up a little more to stay in a pool side bungalow room (room 115 for 6 nights) as our teenagers wanted to spend most their time poolside. In summary, Gym was good, pool was great, check-in was slow, too few staff and lots of people coming and going, guys at the kerbside ushersing us in and out were fine, the hotel limo service was good when it was on, I am sure in the past it was available allday, now it runs only after 5pm to 10pm....a shame. Free wireless internate was also appreciated. The Hilton just seems to be a little dull now. The poolside service was very very slow, the breakfast buffett seemed more like something from a Holiday Inn or 3 star hotel - quite basic. Rooms were clean and tidy. May I suggest that for a similar rate you can stay at the MOntage or Wilshire, thats what we will do next time. It just seems like its slipping a little thats all.

Service, quality, staff, cleanliness, the whole package was AMAZING.

It has been a long time since I have stayed at a hotel so well kept, with service that went above and beyond.

I highly recommend to anyone who can, STAY HERE!!!

PS, the rooms are wonderfully updated!

When I checked into the Beverly Hilton, I was expecting to have a nice, relaxing stay with my husband. Unfortunately from the moment we got to the room, our stay had fallen apart almost within minutes. Right away when I went to use the bathroom I noticed several pubic hairs on the toilet seat (REVOLTING). I then went to sit on the bed and noticed several long, disgusting hairs on the pillows. I quickly stood up and saw that the carpet was full of crumbs. As I went around the room, I saw that every single piece of furniture was coated with a layer of dust. My husband and I wanted to speak with the Housekeeping Manager immediately, to show them the state of the room. After 3 phone calls down to the front desk and almost an hour had passed, a young man named Jose Huiser finally made it to our room. We had thought that the manager would at the very least offer an attempt at an apology and a solution. Mr. Huiser instead basically told us that this is how the Beverly Hilton is and if we did not like it, we should not stay here. No apology and no attempt at rectifying the solution. It was now roughly 10:30pm and felt it was too late to do exactly as the Housekeeping Manager advised and just check out, so we waited until 8am the following morning and cut our 4 night vacation at the Beverly Hilton down to a single night. We then checked into the Peninsula across the street (which was fantastic), and the front desk agent laughed when we told him our story and basically mentioned to us that this happens at least 5 or 6 times a MONTH!!!
