This is the old Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. They have rebranded, but haven't changed or updated the decor since it was a Thompson hotel, but this didn't matter as the styling is pretty cool. We booked a King Room, but were upgraded to the King Suite, which was a nice touch! The bed was super comfy and the air con worked a treat. The best part for me was the rooftop pool which had great views across LA, and the fact that it was a 5 minute walk to the great shops of Rodeo Drive. The staff were also fantastic and nothing was too hard for them to organise. Well worth staying here, and the price point beats others that offer the same.

Room Tip: 501 is a king suite. End of the hall, and 2 balconies. Great room!

We stayed here for 5 nights and there's a lot going for this hotel. The location is great, the staff despite looking über cool were actually super friendly and professional and the roof top pool set up is really fantastic and - weekends aside - surprisingly underused. We didn't eat at the restaurant (being an American upmarket hotel they didn't include breakfast in the room rate which I know is pretty standard but to a European just seems weird!!).
The less good aspects were minor irritations rather than anything more negative and other reviewers on this sure have pretty much got them already listed. Wi Fi is $15 a day which is very cheeky frankly. Guys....it should be free given what you're charging! If Wal Mart & every Mom n Pop diner can provide free Wi Fi, then so can you!! That and the half bottle of Evian water provided in the room for $8 just irritates the hell out of your customers as is clear from many other reviewers on this site. The valet parking at $38 a day is expensive even by Beverly Hills standards...but the valet staff were superb and super willing and if you come and go during the day a few times, then a fixed fee of $38 is probably worth it and it certainly is very easy. The only other comment I would make is that the pool area at the weekend seems to be a magnet for out of town media types who commandeer the rooftop area for private parties. Personally I had no issue with this but it does create an odd mixture with a few hotel residents defiantly using the pool with a full scale party with a DJ playing thumping music going on around them! Great for people watching but not sure I would have wanted to have been in the pool swimming with my young kids as one hotel resident was while I was being deafened by the DJ and getting a secondary high from the aromatic cigarettes (!!) that were being passed around. I think the hotel needs to work out who
their clientele really is.
All said and done, it's a great location and setting and we enjoyed it.

We stayed for 4 nights. Excellent room, character is designer hotel type. Everything and everyone worked perfectly. Very helpful, laid back, chilled staff, which other reviewers have mistaken for unfriendliness. We found everyone eager to assist in any way. amazing, just amazing view from pool area and roof bar at night, unforgettable. Must not forget the excellent restaurant. Great service, great food. We are vegetarian and the menu worked beautifully, lots of choice and they were prepared to alter menu items. Superb breakfast. Yes, would be good not to have the internet charge! The valet parking was very convenient despite the extra charge, more than just for parking.

Room Tip: Higher up has views. Towards the back extra quiet.

Great design throughout the boutique hotel, extremely classy very bev hills.
Location a couple streets away from Rodeo drive but walking distance to most places.
Friendly staff, comfy bed however the price I don't think is worth the room, reduce the price a lil and it would be perfect. The rooftop pool and sun beds are amazing aswell.

I had an emergency at home and had to check myself into Sixty at 1am...the bell boy, Vaughn Lewis, went out of his way to ensure I had a smooth check in and my bags were promptly with me as soon as I got to my room. He explained the room amenities and was thoughful and quick in ensuring I was well looked after. Overall great experience at the hotel...good location as well, close to all major shopping and entertainment.

From start to finish our stay at this hotel was incredible. We stayed on two separate occasions and cannot recommend the hotel enough. Stylish, high quality interiors are matched by friendly, professional and effective staff.

From bell men, to concierge to front desk staff ( who were particularly welcoming and accommodating) all staff made you feel welcome at their hotel.

The best bit of the hotel has to be the rooftop pool and bar area, with panoramic views of LA and excellent food and drink, you could simply spend all your stay up here and not move a muscle.

Having stayed in many hotels throughout the US, this has definitely been my best experience!
