My family of five (2 adults and 3 teen boys) stayed in cabin 20 for two nights mid week - 2 bedrooms & pull out couch in living room. The cabin was small but very clean and was fine for our stay. The refrigerator was not full size and you would need more space if you were bringing a lot of food. The bathroom was spacious however there were no shelves or hooks to put your toiletries or hang your clothes. In addition, the shower had no soap dish or shelf to set shampoo or soap so you had to put it on the floor which was very inconvenient. There were also no hooks or coat racks in the cabin so if this had been a winter stay, we would have had coats laying all over the place. The pool area was very clean and the grounds and other cabins looked like they had just been redone. Not having a map, I choose unit 20 figuring it would be in the back - wrongo! The cabin was closest to the main road and there was some traffic noise. I would stay here again but choose a different cabin. The staff was great and the price was right. The property was within walking distance to the village although I would probably drive if I had small children or non-walkers as there is no sidewalk along a lot of the road and there is a lot of traffic.

Just recently stayed at this location for 2 nights with my family. We stayed at cabin 6, which is 1 bedroom with sofabed. The cabin is cozy, comfy beds with clean sheets, good size bathroom with no counter space, kitchen is good size with all kitchen essentials.

The property is split in two sections. The pool area with cabins 14-30, GREAT size pool with plenty of lounging area. And the main area, cabins 1-13 (where we stayed), it has a kids playground behind the office that is vesible from all cabins in that compound.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It is close to town and right across the street there is a couple of dinning options and a market.

Lastly, we did not get a complemantary wine bottle, like everyone else mentioned. And the free breakfast is probably on weekend only (which is the busiest).

But I do recommend this property for a quick get away to the mountains!

Bad experience. When reserving this cabin we specifically said we were a family of 5!! We reserved a cabin for a family of 5!! This was ridiculous!! They gave us this tiny cabin, my backyard is bigger than this place. 1 bedroom, tiny living room and kitchen. We were asked to make sure we wash our dishes. Fine, at least provide us the dish soap and sponge! Nope, we had to go buy that ourselves. Next, AC wasn't working. Hot night and NO AC..3rd.. Loud Construction going on beginning at 7am!! hello, we are guest, please have some courtesy, we are paying, we deserve some decent sleep. 4th, This place says they provide cookware.. I suggest you bring your own or bring more. What they supply is ridiculous. Cant make noise by 10pm.. DONT be foooled by the pictures on these cabins. They look big, but they share common walls, they are like duplexes. SO DON'T BE FOOLED!!! I needed to talk to someone with some problems I was having and there was ever anybody at the front desk, so ridiculous!! Also the noise you hear from the ongoing street that's nearby, takes the feel away of a cabin. DO NOT STAY HERE, GO ELSEWHERE, TRUST ME!! Oh and also Pet friendly? I don't think sooo!!! This is a prison for any big dog, the rooms are extremely small!! And to top it off, found hairs in our shower, so gross!! The only way I will stay here again is if we are desperate and need to stay somewhere, but if you have options, skip this one.

Room Tip: If you are 4 make sure you say you are 6, if you are 8 say you are 10, the rooms are extremely small...

Always friendly and great customer service. Has everything our family is looking for, our own cabin with a fireplace, a kitchen to make our own meals, separate rooms for adults and kids (the kids love the cabins with lofts), they let our dog stay and they have a lot of property for the dog and kids to roam. You have to search to find a good place in big bear, once you find one keep it a secret! On a cold morning taking a shower and getting ready will remind you that this is a cabin...but to me, that is part of the fun.

Room Tip: Get a stand alone cabin, not one that is attached to others.

We just stayed here in Cabin 6. The cabins are recently renovated and very clean. We also used the sofa couch which was very comfortable with a foam padding on top. We Used the kitchen which came in handy after a long day everything you need is provided. IT was a nice touch to have hot choco and popcorn in the cabin. There is a supermarket vons nearby. Most importantly Jaquiline the manager always provides excellent personal service and we will definitely stay there again. On a side note, they have other properties like Wolf Creek that are nice too.

Another great weekend stay. These folks deliver the goods each and every time. What used to be a crap shoot is now a no brainer. If I stay in Big Bear, it will be at Bear Creek or Wolf Creek Resorts.

I come to Big Bear almost every weekend to ski, bike, enjoy Oktoberfest, or just to get away. I ALWAYS stay at Bear Creek - ALWAYS. The customer service is the best on the mountain. They blow other resorts and cabin agerncies (i.e. Big Bear Cool Cabins who have done nothing but treat my friends and I like dirt) customer service and hospitality out of the water. Jacqueline, the GM of all the resorts (Bear Creek, Wolf Creek, and Fireside) is the sole reason I love the cabins. Her work ethic and desire to keep all guests returning and happy works. The cabins are clean. The people are nice. The people are very nice.
