Experienced staff and well cared for horses made this a fun experience for both novice and experienced riders. We started out with a beautiful morning, but 30 minutes in to our ride the weather turned ugly and we were caught out on the trail with thunder, lightening and HAIL. The staff handled professionally with the group's safety as their primary concern. Trucks were sent out to retrieve us while our guides walked the horses back through the terrible weather. We were disappointed our ride was cut short, but we will definitely try again next time we are in Big Bear.

the place looked like a rundown working ranch. it even had an outhouse (for show only -- there was a working restroom behind the office). be sure to make a reservation because they will not go out with horses except at their designated times. 3 riders arrived at the same time but were turned away because they were more than a hour early, ahead of the schedule. besides, the next designated tour was sold out. the pony rides were expensive ($10 for 4 circuits around the petting zoo). the petting zoo had only a few goats and chickens. but the kids, all in all, had a great time on the ponies and in the zoo.

We just turned up to the Ranch and were lucky, the wait was only 30 mins, we went on an hour hack with our guide. My husband and I are really novice riders, our daughter more experienced, all this is taken into account when selecting your horse.

Very professional and safety concerned. You have the option of a saddle bag for water, camera, sun screen. The trek is comfortable and the horses know every inch of the trail so I felt comfortable. Half way through there is an opportunity for photos.

Overall a great, fun experience. Very friendly and thoughtful owners.

Finished off the weekend at these stables so the kids can have a pony ride. They loved that and the pony Pearl. Their pony guide was a really cool guy, talked to the kids alot and helped us take great photos of them. The petting zoo was a bonus. Great for very small kids, otherwise i think older kids might think it's a bit small. Good time.

dropped off the 2 -10 year olds for an hour of horseback riding. Staff was friendly and the girls were off and back on time. They had a great time.
