This was my first time to this worldmark at big bear. Luckily ours a newly renovated unit. Some sliding doors did not work but was quickly taken care of. It's a nice relaxing location for a quick break. The staff was helpful and courteous and we all loved our stay.

We have been to this resort 3-4 times. 2 times during the ski season and 2 times during the warmer months. We always end up in building 25/26 for the 2BR units. We can see the pool from the living room. There is basketball court, tennis court and huge recreation room. There is plenty to do on the resort ground and it is very close to the lake and village. The remodeling of the unit was an added bonus. Stater Bros, Vons and Starbucks is about 1/2 miles away.

Stayed for the week in newly renovated unit. Nice, quiet, close to grocery, restaurants, lake and hiking trails. Private deck with BBQ grill. Town was busy over the weekend, but not at all during the week.

Visited in June for a week getaway exchanged thru RCI. Politely declined the timeshare presentation and were never bothered again. Stayed in a remodeled room which was nice. There was construction going on everyday. Not great if trying to sleep in. Overall, had a great time at the pool and location was great with shopping nearby. Need to pay for wi-fi which was reasonable. Recommend this resort.

Room Tip: Upstairs room are quieter.

We just returned from a one week stay at Worldmark Big Bear. We made this trip with two other families; each family stayed in a two bedroom, two bath unit and all 3 units were identical. We were well aware of the renovations happening at this property prior to our stay.

I was immediately impressed with the beautiful and inviting exterior of the property. When first entering our rooms I was excited because I figured we had received a remodeled unit. After 24 hours in the room I noticed too many little things that told the room had not actually been remodeled. Yes, the bedding was outdated, there were some nicks in the paint, cracks in the tiles and several other minor imperfections. All in all, we were happy; tons of room to accommodate all three families eating dinner together in one unit (11 people), two TVs (nice when traveling with children). It was fabulous having a BBQ on our patio and not having to bother with shared community BBQs. There were also some basic spices available in the unit to cook with.

There were a few downsides, starting with the very uncomfortable couch, and the dirty carpet. Now, since the units are being remodeled, I would like to assume those will not be issues very long. The filthy carpets did get to me, we wore flip-flops or slippers the entire time. My 3 year would sometimes take hers off when I wasn't watching and her feet were black in just a matter of minutes. The gas fireplace was a great feature in the room but we didn't really think we would have the chance to use it in the summer, however it rained several days and we all tried to turn ours on in the evening & found they must shut the gas/propane off during the summer. We have also stayed at other Worldmark properties for 7 days that swapped our towels out half way through our week; this property did not do that without asking.

The staff was friendly but it would be nice if they exercised a bit more caution while driving around in their little carts. They really zip around quite quickly; not obeying typical rules of the road (not stopping at stop signs), often taking you by surprise and making regular vehicles stop or navigate around them. I thought it was really a bit rude and unsafe with children around at times and actually thought about making a complaint about the issue.

The Worldmark Big Bear is conveniently located to two grocery stores, a Kmart, Dollar Tree and the lake.

The kids also had a blast in the rec room, there was plenty of seating to accommodate a large crowd at the pool, and several jacuzzi’s around the property. We are already planning a return visit to the property for next summer. I am excited to see the upgrades when we return.

We just came back from a 2day stay at Worldmark Big Bear. We stayed at one of their 2 bedroom units. Check-in was easy. Staff were friendly. We know that they're doing renovations all throughout the property so we were hoping to get one of the new units but unfortunately we got one of the old/dated units. They said by end of the year, renovations will be done so we'll see. There was a pool and play ground for kids which was really nice.
They have all the usual set-up and things Worldmark property has to offer but the furnitures were dated and kitchen stuff needs replacement. Renovations is really a must!
We are really picky when it comes to bathrooms- the master's bathroom toilet had really grossed stain then toilet flush stopped working the day we were checking out so that was terrible.
We'll probably be back after the place is fully renovated.

My wife and I are locals to the Inland Empire, and decided to take a weekend getaway to Big Bear. The drive up highway 18 only took about 40 minutes, and was nice to get to our destination in only a few minutes. Upon our arrival to the Worldmark Big Bear, we weren’t disappointed. Check in was a breeze and since the Worldmark Wyndham is a time share resort, they always set up you up for the timeshare sales pitch when obtaining your parking pass, but a firm “Not Interested”, did the trick and weren’t bothered to attend any scheduled sales presentation the rest of our stay. Once we arrived at our unit, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit, with patio that included a gas grill, was nice and cozy, and the resort grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Only complaint would be only bar soap was all that was provided in the bathrooms, when the norm at most hotels are bar soap, lotion, and shampoo, but we always pack our own, so it wasn’t a big inconvenience.
Big Bear Lake is only a short drive from the resort, and could actually walk it if you felt up to it. So we took the kids fishing half the day, and the other half was spent enjoying the nice pool and club house amenities. Grocery store, restaurants, and shops are just around the corner on Big Bear Blvd, and it was nice to cook in, breath in the cool fresh mountain air, and enjoy our weekend in Big Bear.
