“Perfect little campground for all!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2013 via mobile

We picked this one from the three of the Brown's campgrounds and what a gem. Close to town but far enough to be that out away feeling. A quaint little place with a small creek running through with big trees and lots of grass. There are limited electric hookups so reservations in the busy time would be advised as now since staying here we met a lot of regulars. I can see why. Bathrooms are clean and there is even laundry facilities. The camp host was an absolute dear in our time of crisis when our dogs locked us out of our truck! If you get a chance up that way don't
miss this spot it is a gem!!!
This is great main base camp for a vast array of fishing spots in the eastern sierras. We will be back.

Pulled in here during the middle of the night; the registration process was easy to follow, finding an open campsite a little tougher. IIn the morning, we awoke to find we were in a pretty nice place.

One of the quirks was the shower rooms; you had to go to the store to buy a token, which was good for seven minutes of hot water. You put the token in some kind of meter contraption and the hot water came on; it cut out abruptly at what I can only imagine was exactly seven minutes. More than enough time to take a shower, but I bet if you had a tape recorder going, you'd hear the water turn on and then a yelp seven minutes later.

Store was well-stocked, including wtih local products and (yum) home-made pies.

This is a nice little corner of the world, mountains at your back, desert in front. As an overnight stop in an RV you could do much worse.

Rating is 3 points for the place and a bonus point for the store, polite staff, and funky showers.

It was HOT at 106 but our shady campsite on GRASS!! next to a rumbling stream was euphoric. Quiet, well maintained, tons of space, beautiful view. One of the few campsites that we enjoyed in our 3 month journey, could of stayed a month.

The host family especially the lady was fanatic about cleaning and took it personally if the bathrooms were dirty. The bathrooms certainly did need a rebuild, but the showers blasted hot water.

Highly recommended, but bring a tarp for more shade in July.
