Had lunch here over the holiday weekend, and it was delicious!

The veggie burger is home-made and probably one of the best I've ever had. It doesn't fall apart when you're eating it, has great flavor and texture, and kept me full for hours. Even meat-eaters will like this one!

My husband got a cheeseburger which was juicy and delicious.

We shared sweet potato fries which were freshly made. They were flavorful, cooked perfectly and crispy.

We also tried a small chocolate malt. The shake was not too sweet, not too rich, just right.

For all our items we paid $20. It is reasonably priced and you pay for the high quality ingredients and care put into the meal.

Yep! Great burger stop on way from LA to Tahoe! Lots of seating outside! Amazing old fashion Rootbeer Floats! Big old fashion onion rings and thick milkshakes!

Wiggly is the owner's dog. He is the cutest French Bull Doggy mix? So, this review isn't about the dog but if you're a doggy lover like we are then it's worth the trip! The burgers are excellent!!! Homemade buns and all the fixings. Homemade Vanilla ice cream which they use in their milkshakes. Yummmmm!!!

The wait for the food is a bit longer than usual but I think it's because everything is made to order.

Love the small town feel of Bishop and Burger Barn!!!

A burger joint is just that a burger joint. This place is mainly take out. Weather permitting you can eat outside. If you are lucky, and we were, there is one table inside. If you want a great burger, you have to come here. It's really a unique operation. Kind of hard to find off of Highway 168. For our final meal in Bishop, we saved the BEST for last. We ordered the Chili and waited. In about 10 minutes we were presented with a bowl of chili with steak and topped with sour cream and avocado. Each of us tasted and WOW, we were all smiling talking about how good it was. A few more minutes passed and we got our burgers. After our first bite we all thought we had died and went to heaven! We also had their fries, WAY better than McDonalds. They were cooked perfectly. I have to say I really wanted to try one of their Milkshakes made with home made ice cream, but alas we were stuffed! Maybe next time. HIGHLY Recommended.

Slightly out of the way from the town center, but we kept making the short drive once we discovered the place. It's slightly weird but very friendly and the burgers are among the best I've ever tasted. My girlfriend couldn't stop raving about the milkshakes either.

Definitely worth a visit, much better than the slightly overrated Schatz in our opinion.

Just be careful, they close early for dinner (7pm, if memory serves).
