“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2014

Clean and comfortable - bed was very good and room was huge. Our dog friendly room was conveniently located on the first floor. Internet service was very slow at all hours. Many eating places are within walking distance. Breakfast was ok.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the street

Updated older motel. We reserved online and received our requested 1st floor room. Very polite desk people. Pros...clean bed, clean BR, quiet AC, bath mat in the tub, clean "faux wood" vinyl flooring, microwave, hairdryer, refrigerator. Convenient to restaurants. Included breakfast decent. Cons...unable to connect to internet, soft bed. First time in a motel where we never were able to receive even a weak internet connection. Maybe we were too far away from the router but then they need to add more routers.

Typical Best Western standards: clean and comfortable with all the amenities such as WiFi, coffee maker etc. at a very reasonable price. The hotel is laid out like a 2 story motel, we were on the 1st floor and experienced a lot of noise from people upstairs, passing in front of the room and the AC unit. Perhaps the 2nd story would be better from that perspective.

Room Tip: Try the second floor to avoid noise from above.

Breakfast is why I stay at Best Western, was always able to get a room on the first floor, even when I came in after 12 AM at night, sometimes parking spaces was hard to find, also sometimes the bed was too soft , otherwise rooms where good,

This place has all the needed items. The staff was very nice and helpful. Price was right. I would stay here again. Its close to the shots Roadhouse which is a excellent place to eat. Room was very clean and well equipped.

We stopped here, having booked ahead, to break up our drive from Yosemite Valley (about 6 hours, with stops) to Las Vegas (via Death Valley - DV) (about 9 hours with quite a few stops in DV).

Hotel was fine for a night with free wifi. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was a decent buffet.

I'd recommend it as a stopping point.

We stayed here for 1 night, a family of 4, whilst travelling from Vegas to Yosemite. It's about 5 hrs from Vegas through Death Valley and about 3 hrs from Yosemite Village, so it seemed the logical place to stop on our way through.
We booked the motel over 6 months before and were quite glad as there were no walk in rooms available on the day we got there. Although there were motels nearby that were advertising vacancies.
The motel is fairly standard and a decent stopover. The a/c was not overly noisy although the free wi-fi was slow at best and non-existent at worse. The staff were pleasant enough and there is continental breakfast included, which was enough to get you going in the morning.
Eating options that are very close to the motel are Taco Bell, Denny's, KFC (which closed rather early at 8pm) and Starbucks.
Overall it was a pleasant enough stay, we weren't looking for luxury, just somewhere to rest your head after a days driving and to feel refreshed for the next day and we got that with the Best Western in Bishop.
