Description: Cantina cantina noun. /kanˈtiːnə/ def; a type of restaurant/bar popular in Italy, Mexico and Spain. Established in 2008, we are one of the original, funky & dynamic venues located on the famous Beaufort Street Strip in Mount Lawley, located next door to the iconic Astor Theatre. A local canteen at heart, we are all about fresh, local and seasonal produce. True to our name our food is influenced by Mediterranean cuisine with a modern Australian twist. A fully licensed venue, our extensive wine list features a range of exciting domestic and international drops, as well as lots of cocktails of course! So come on down, bring your friends and family, and enjoy yourself in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where the staff are always ready to greet you with a smile.

Saturday night went on a recommendation to cantina 663
We're given couch style seats in centre hallway
Wasn't sure how good that would be?
Waiter arrived very efficiently and explained all wines and beers
Gave our orders
Service was fast
After other friends arrived we were suggested the chef special of all his recommendations for entree , mains and deserts for $65 a head
All I can say us Wow !!!
When we left all 6 of us were totally full , couldn't even finish all presented foods
Would encourage every one to try this place
Amazing service followed by great food
Best I've been to in a long time

Tragic brunch at Cantina last Sunday. Pleasant waiter but somehow wrote order down incorrectly. Tasteless gluten free toast arrived..regular ordered,, problem corrected with a bit of a huff. Then found hair in the jam. Poached eggs hard. Coffee bitter. Have been before and enjoyed it despite higher than average prices but after this experience, never again!!

My friend and I went here for breakfast. It was pretty crowded but they found us a table right away. Most of the clientele looked like they were cut and pasted directly from inner city Sydney! The food we had was good and tasty, and he had a Virgin Mary to drink which was absolutely wonderful. I'd definitely go again next time in I'm Perth.

We have eaten at Cantina 663 several times and each time the food tasted very good - this time was no exception. But this time there was a difference - we both woke up several times during the night with a dreadful thirst - despite having consumed three bottles of water with the meal (and only one of wine). So there must be a new chef who uses too much salt a la many TV chefs.

The waiter service was as always excellent and the atmosphere pleasant - though the music could be turned down 20 decibels or so, so that you can actually hear your waiter.

So basically a good night out, but be prepared for a salt hangover the evening after your meal - at least until a change of chef or the current one wakes up.

Been here a few times and ALWAYS enjoyed the atmosphere, waiter service (excellent) and truly amazing food/quality/portion size's...... went this morning for coffee and decided to have the banana bread with maple butter and it was 'to die for' - the coffee was spot on and I now want the receipe for the bread! As always, fantastic.
