We had received a gift voucher for $100 to this restaurant so decided to give it a go.
It's a bit of a barn of a place and as the night deepened, it got very dark - the ceilings are high and there are limited ligths anyway. We had to use our mobile phone to try and read the tasting notes of the wine we ordered. Speaking of which, this was slightly warm...it was a red but that was pretty offputting. We placed it next to the water bottle and hoped it would chill down a bit.
The food was very tasty - we shared a prawn skewer entree and both had stakes for main. The meat appeared to be of a very good quality, however although I had ordered medium (after checking with the mobile phone light again!), I confirmed that it was still bloody. The waiter happily took it away to be recooked, but this shouldn't happen. The steak doesn't come with anything but the side salad and chips were very tasty.
The chairs are awful - a choice of either hard wooden ones on one side or a Chesterfield couch on the other. I chose the couch & although I have quite long legs, couldn't sit back comfortably.
It was a bit on the pricey side - we shared an entree, had 2 steaks (one was the smaller of the two sizes offered) and a bottle of red wine and the bill was $134.
All in all, quite a nice meal, but we won't be back.
