Reviewed 23 August 2010

From the moment you arrive you are enveloped in warm Portuguese hospitality from Fernando and his family. They simply cannot do enough for you. The rooms are 4 star with beautiful bathrooms and great beds, the breakfast is cooked before you in the kitchen - just say what you would like (go for the omelette!) but the real treat is to ask Fernando to cook dinner for you. (Advance notice probably helps make sure he can do this for you). Several courses with wine at a fantastic price. They grow nearly all their own produce and you'll eat en famille and have lively conversation. It would be a crime to miss it if you are ever that way.
Tony Rothwell (hotelier).
