Family of three traveling through Sonoma, wanted a day by the ocean. Room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. First floor unit had patio over looking the pool and bay. Windows opened that allowed fresh sea air into room. Bathroom clean with soft towels and robes. Complimentary breakfast and 20% discount on dinner. We were able to check into room earlier than expected, giving us time to explore the numerous state parks along the shore.
Great location for whale watching, wine tours, fishing or visiting Armstrong State Park - great for hiking through a redwood forest.

Easy check-in, polite and pleasant front desk. When we arrived at our room, upon first look we were happy and excited. The view was excellent and we were happy to have an outdoor sitting area. But the more you settled in and looked around, the "shine" of the room fell away. The carpet was atrocious! Dirty, large stains of I don't know what marked all over. I did not take my socks off! The bathroom...chipped tile, peeling wallpaper, very old decor. The only updating they did to the room was with the bedding. Everything else, seemed to be the same old tired furniture of the 1980's.
The location is perfect. Right between beaches, close to dining. The pool and spa were excellent. But this would not be a place I would look for if I was searching out a long term stay.

Upon our early arrival, we were greeted warmly and taken care of right away. We were able to check in a couple of hours earlier than the stated 4pm. The room was located on the second level with a view of Bodega Bay. To my husband's surprise, there wasn't a mini refrigerator or air conditioning. I overlooked those things. The bed was comfortable, but you can hear a constant beeping noise in the distance. I did enjoy listening to the frogs, owls, and sea lions.

There is a fitness room, heated pool and whirlpool on the premises.

We love the Inn at the Tides for a getaway place during the winter months while winter hotel rates are in effect. This time we were there on a Sunday in early March. The location is beautiful and only a 1.5-hour drive from many populated areas in eastern Marin and southern Sonoma Counties. This beats the long drive to Mendocino or Monterrey. The best part of staying at the Inn at the Tides is the Bay View Restaurant off from the check-in lobby. The restaurant specialty is Italian food and we really like Italian food. The Tides Wharf snack bar and fish shop are nice for a light lunch you you prefer not to use the full restaurant on the wharf. We do not mind the sometimes wet and wild winter weather along the Pacific coast, and really enjoy the state parks and other scenic wonders in the Bodega Bay-Jenner areas.

Room Tip: Stay on the bay-facing side. Second story rooms are nice for the view of the bay and sunset (if you...

Nice location with great views of Bodega Bay, especially from 2nd floor rooms facing West. Room was comfortable, clean but dated, in need of update. A tough environment of marine air takes a toll on exposed wood structures. This hotel has been around for decades. Located in a natural environment right on Hwy 1. Close to Sonoma coast wine country, local Bodega Bay activities, within reach of San Francisco. I was there for a recent wine makers dinner which was a nice event.

Room Tip: Go for a second floor room facing West. There are units at various levels of elevation. Go for a u...

Our room definitely could use a remodel; the blinds and one window was slightly broken, and the place felt a little old. The walls are very thin too, so we heard a lot from next door. Good location if you are playing golf, also a good complimentary breakfast at the rides restaurant.

view, food, air and people……combo for a perfect relaxing time at the Pacific Ocean. This is a great stay in-between the visits to the wineries. February through July is perfect. The earlier in the year, the less crowds so book early.
