“Best kept secret in Coastal golf.”

For less than you would expect there is a great links golfing experience right here in Sonoma County. We don't have to travel to Oregon to pay a lot of money to play on a very challenging and stunningly beautiful golf course. The first four holes are a tough way to start with #4 being, in my opinion, the most difficult hole in Sonoma County. Fortunately, it gets easier from #5 on as do the panoramic views of Bodega Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Like all true links courses the weather can be iffy with the months of September and October the best option. I'd highly recommend a round.

“perfect afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2012

husband and I decided to bring our clubs along on our CA trip based on the reviews and photos of this course. our afternoon here surpassed our high expectations. the staff are cheery and accommodating. the grounds are exceptionally well kept and the course itself is challenging, but not to the point of frustration. the views were stunning. our memorable afternoon here was a very special treat.

“Great Course, very good rates”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2012

The course is always in great condition. Though the prices have gone up a bit towards the end of the year, value is still good, better than most of the sr/windsor courses that cost and arm and a leg and are in alot worse shape. Its worth the trip to play, make it a day.

“Too tricked up for me”

I generally don't like courses that have a lot of blind shots and force you to just drive to a pole 150 yards down the fairway. While there are a few interesting holes, the most memorable ones are the final three.

“Poor Customer Service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2012

We played Bodega for the first time on Sunday, Sep 2. The day started by going into the restaurant and asking where to get a hotdog or drinks for the course. They informed us they didnt have any of that but said we could order off the menu at the restaurant. I ordered a hamburger that took about 25 mins to come out. Luckily we had showed up early. The next thing to happen was at the tee box with the starter, a young kid, screaming on the phone to his girlfriend about not letting his dog out. We had to introduce ourselves to the other twosome we would be playing with, by randomly asking the people behind us "who else is on the 1240 tee time". We teed off with not even a nod from the starter to go. At the turn, again looking for any type of bottled beverage led back to the restaurant and pro shop which both said there is cart on the 1st tee box. I told them it was closed and they just shrugged and looked at me. The pace of the course was well over 5 hours. We finished at 5 hours and 20 minutes. Saw no marshalls on the course to have the foursome two groups ahead speed up. The course was nice, and we enjoyed as much as we could, but thinks to horrible staff, we wont be making in more trips out to this course. If you're planning on playing this course, note that they are under heavy construction which was another added annoyance no one informs you of when you arrive.
