Spent one night in a motel room here as a brief stop on a driving holiday - discovered the site online and had to call (from the UK) to book as they didn't have any email or online booking facility.
We arrived after 5pm to find the shop/reception area closed but a note on the board saying the key was left in the room with the number. At this point a map would have been useful to locate the room but it was easily found after just a minute in the car - I was glad it was still daylight when we arrived!
Deer were walking freely around the area which was set beautifully beside the lake and mountains. Unfortunately we were only staying for one night and had an early departure otherwise my partner would have loved to sample the fishing in the area.
The room was very basic - as it was one of the motel rooms, we had no cooking facilities or fridge - we had a couple of comfortable clean beds, drawers and a coffee maker - no TV, air con or internet. It did get chilly at night and we were pleased to find the room had gas heating which worked well.
We ate dinner and had a couple of drinks in the restaurant - the food was delicious, reasonably priced and the staff were great. It was so good we returned for breakfast before leaving the next morning.
The next day we found the shop was well stocked with groceries and souvenirs, again at a very reasonable cost and again the staff were very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is that I didn't get to stay here for longer!
