The hotel has a very friendly staff that always willing to help with making your stay great. Good recommendations of local attractions, restaurants and wineries. Rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Fresh locally famous Danish pastries for breakfast round out a pleasant experience.

Our stay at the Andersen’s Inn was really wonderful. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were a good size and very clean. They have a nice continental breakfast every morning in an enclosed gazebo, a putting green, pool and jacuzzi. The location in Buellton is right next to their restaurant – Pea Soup Andersen’s and if you stay at the hotel you receive a discount coupon for the restaurant. Pea Soup Andersen’s is a stop every single time we go to or through Solvang so staying at the hotel was a bonus. We happened to be there right after Christmas to see the lights in Solvang. The decorations all over Buellton & Solvang were amazing. Making it an only slightly lesser rating on our family scale-They have a no pet policy so we left out dog at home with his usual sitter. There was only one problem with our stay, an erroneous extra charge. Our room number must have been relayed accidently by housekeeping to the front desk stating we had a dog and left a huge mess. Our dog is a loud, nervous barker making it impossible to even think about sneaking him into a no pet room and the only way we know we have everything is to clean up our hotel rooms. Since neither claim was true, I called and spoke with the manager. I explained that it could not possibly be our room and the room number must have been mixed up. She reversed the extra charge without any further issue. I was very pleased overall and will stay there the next time we are traveling without the pooch to that area.

As others have said, the room was a little dated and nothing fancy, but clean and in order. Room amenities were in good order: microwave oven, flat screen TV, heater/air conditioner.
Bed was comfortable & clean. Bathroom was clean. I don't recall how good or bad the internet access worked.
I don't recall if there was an elevator or not to help access rooms on the second floor. I used the stairs.
I did not use the pool but it looked clean. I didn't eat breakfast there either, sorry.
Check in was relatively smooth.
So if you're on a budget and don't need a fancy room like a room at the Marriot, or Sheraton, then this should be fine. I would stay there again.

This inn was a nice surprise. Stayed in room 109 on February 7, 2014, only 2 doors down from the registration desk/lobby. It was a 2 double bed and I must say that the room was spacious and clean. It looked renovated not long ago as the paint was still bright. There's a microwave and mini refrigerator in room and you can tell that housekeeping does a good job as both microwave and refrigerator were clean and had no lingering odors from previous food. Bathroom was also very spacious and clean (clean enough that I wasn't afraid to go barefoot on the tub). The room had a sliding door that led to a semi-private patio that had access to the pool. The pool looked very clean and well maintained. Next to the pool is an enclosed gazebo which they serve complimentary continental breakfast. Continental breakfast consisted of muffins and danishes which I believe came from a local bakery. Coffee and juice (orange, apple, cranberry) were also available as well as 3 different types of bread and butter and jelly. Next to the gazebo was a putting a green with benches around it and they also small cafe tables and chairs scattered around the pool area. Although it was close to the freeway, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet is was. It was only a five minute drive to Solvang so for under $100 on a Friday night this place was a real gem and will be my home away from home whenever I'm in the area. There's plenty of parking and the Pea Andersen's Soup Restaurant was right next door (soup so yummy, it deserves it's own review). Overall, this place hits the spot for when you return from exploring Solvang, Santa Barbara and the surrounding country side.

Room Tip: Room 109 faced the main street but it was still pretty quiet. If you prefer more privacy I suggest...

My wife stayed here as a base to see Solvang, Santa Ines Mission, and to have a drink at the Hitching Post (the restaurant featured in the movie Sideways). The hotel itself, while a little dated, was ideally located for our 24 hour adventure. Our room was very clean and comfortable. While there is in room internet, it is through a wired connection so be sure to bring the appropriate cable. They do have wireless in the lobby. The continental breakfast was OK but not outstanding. As with all my ratings I try to award stars based on the total value of the establishment. Thus, when I add up all the parts and factor in price, this hotel definitely deserves three plus to a low end four stars.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and are fairly large. The hotel itself is showing signs of age, but nothing too dramatic. We only stayed one night, but for a good place to stay close to Solvang, you can't beat it.

Room Tip: Just like everyone says get a room on top floor in the back for a great nights sleep

A bit of relaxation after the high prices of other Santa Barbara County locations.
The hotel is comfertable, the service is prompt and courteous and the access to the freeway is super easy.
Definitely a place to mark for stops on the way up or down the coast.
