“OK stay but the walls and floors are thin and the shuttles during off peak times don't run frequently enough!”
Reviewed 7 March 2012

We just got back from our trip to Disneyland/Knott's Berry Farm.

This hotel was ok but unfortunately, the best part about it was the morning shuttle drivers (super nice) and the fact that you would find Snoopy wandering around the lobby. The buffet was reasonably priced and was quite good also.

The cons seem to out weight the pros though. Because of the time of year we were there (before Spring Break) the shuttle running to Disneyland was only running every 2 hours, and only if you scheduled it in advance. If you wanted to call and have them come get you at a different time (but still only in 2 hour increments), make sure you have quarters because they don't offer a toll free number and if you try to call the reservation line (same place) James will not connect you through.

We were on the 7th floor, I was told this room had recently been remodeled but I'm not sure what that consists of?? The beds weren't bad, but not the best I've slept in. One of my other biggest complaints was the fact that every step of the people in the room above us was heard, and they sounded like a herd of elephants! We had to complain on multiple nights! You can also hear all the noises from the neighbouring rooms and hallways and one day I thought my daughter was talking to me and it was actually someone else's child out in the hall! When others are saying paper thin walls they mean it!

So, all in all....it was OK but I wouldn't go back I would rather pay a bit more and stay closer to Disneyland.

Room Tip: Try to get a room without anything above you!

We stayed at the Knotts Berry in January and were very disappointed. This being the first long haul we had done we wanted something a bit special so booked through Virgin thinking that as it had 4 Virgin V's it would be fabulous. Although it is not a bad hotel it is definitely not in the luxury category. The rooms are dated and quite dirty, there is mold in the bathrooms, and what really surprised me is that there is not a "full" bathroom - there is a toilet and a bath with a shower over and the sink is in a corridor outside opposite the wardrobe. Very bizarre! ~We have a 4 year old daughter and we really struggled to sleep, the noise is very bad and seemed to be bad at all times. As there are conference rooms there are a lot of people staying for 1 or 2 nights, when we were there there was at least 8 large conferences going on during our 2 weeks most of which were teenagers who charged round the corridors all night. This made it feel very impersonal as you never saw the same people twice, it certainly wasn't a family hotel though they try to make it a bit more so with the appearance of Snoopy in the lobby. If you have small children and are looking for somewhere to relax after visiting the parks I would not recommend this hotel, if you are looking for somewhere for 1 or 2 nights then it is ok. THere is not a lot near the hotel so you end up driving absolutely everywhere but it is near Disney. We did not go into Knotts as to be honest the hotel wanted to charge so much for tickets we didn't bother, the rollercoaster goes long into the night and can be clearly heard in all the rooms so we felt we were there already!! The rooms have paper thin walls and you can clearly hear all that goes on in the next room and bathroom - not pleasant! All said it wasn't bad just not that good. We have stayed at the Santa Fe in Euro Disney and it was almost identical in room layout and quality, although the Santa Fe had a full bathroom!. The Santa Fe is classed as a 2 star, the Knott's Berry is definitely not a 4 star.

Room Tip: The higher the better as it's further from the roller coaster but not too high as you don't...

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights with a Jet Blue getaway package. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Great customer service, we were late getting to the shuttle at Disneyland, we called the hotel and they had the shuttle wait for us. awesome. I would recommend staying on the 5th floor since it's newly renovated. The pool area is nice and my grandson loved playing basketball at the court next to the pool. There is a 5 minute walk to Knott's park with food and shopping along the way. It wasn't peak season so not crowded. I would highly recommend staying here, the hotel tries to accomodate all your needs, geat value compared to Disney.

Room Tip: The 5th floor is newly renovated but make sure it's completed, if not stay on the 6th floor, we...

The hotel is in a great location if you're visiting Knott's. The surrounding area is not the best and some of the other hotels are truly scary. That being said, this hotel does feel a bit dated, and I feel it was cleaner and better maintained when it was under the Radisson name. We had a connecting room with strangers and I could not only hear them fighting, but I could also clearly hear their TV and every time our neighbors on the other side used the bathroom.

The check in/bell staff was very nice and friendly. My daughter and I went for breakfast at the hotel restaurant well after the breakfast rush but they just couldn't cope. We waited (in a line with others) about 15 minutes to be seated at 9:45am, then no one came to take our order. There were plenty of tables, just seemed to not be enough staff.

We also had a very rude telephone call with the reservations staff when making the reservation back in December...smarter people would have given up right then, but we needed to stay at the hotel because of it's proximity to Knott's. Hopefully they do some better training for their reservations staff, but I fear it was actually the supervisor we were talking with!

Hopefully they'll renovate the hotel and rooms soon as it could be a premier resort. We'll be back I'm sure though as you won't find much better in Buena Park.

My family and I stayed here 3 nights in Jan. 2012, so definitely the off season. The staff were helpful, my kids got a photo with Snoopy in the lobby, and there was free shuttle service and a short ride to Disneyland. Good thing we wore ourselves out at the park because on Saturday night, there was a loud party on the 9th floor; we were on the 8th right below it, but we were so exhausted we slept through it which is saying something for mariachi lullaby music. We also had a great view of KBF from our windows. Towels were kind of "crispy," but then again, this isn't what I'd call a luxury hotel. It was perfectly fine for my family, though, and our rooms were clean. There's a Walgreen's across the road which we used for snacks and drinks, and restaurants over near the KBF park entrance. We drove around and found a few Korean BBQ restaurants nearby (our favorite). There is an LDS Church across the street, too, just down from the Walgreen's.

Room Tip: If it's a weekend and there's going to be a 9th floor party, ask for rooms far away from the...

We just got back from Knott's and had a GREAT time! I'll review the park in another review, but as for the hotel, it was fine. Keep in mind we were there on a Wed and Thurs in Feb, so the hotel was very quiet. I don't know what it would be like during the on-season or on a weekend. The staff was very friendly and speedy. We got directions to a GREAT Mexican restaurant. The rooms were clean and fine. This isn't the Ritz (though if you read a review of the Ritz someone would undoubtedly be complaining about the TV or the soap), but more in line with a Best Western or Holiday Inn (which I find just fine). The rooms were clean, had an alarm clock, toiletries, and flat screen TV's. Beds were queen and comfortable (firm mattress as others have mentioned, but I like that). Restaurant was good (breakfast buffet). Excellent, friendly service all around. Snoopy was at breakfast and in the lobby at "bedtime." Cute and fun. We had a blast and will definitely go again. I recommend doing the hotel and park package, as we got a GREAT deal. Don't listen to the haters--if you're looking for luxury, you wouldn't be going to an amusement park.
