We have just had another stay at Ugadale hotel.
From the real warmth of the welcome and assistance of Sandra , with her lovely interest in what we hoped to get from our stay, to the follow through into the bar where we decided to have a refreshment after our long journey.
Dean Scott was there to further the true hearty 'welcome back' cheer, and Louise is sheer Kintyre delight!
We can honestly say that this is the fifth time we have visited the Peninsula, and the Hotel, and it just gets better and better! Whoever chooses staff there has a real empathy for and with people. There is such a warmth, service with a smile, and so efficient, and the food was delicious! Weather was true Kintyre ...blustery, wet at times, and lovely sunshine revealed the beauty of this lovely part of our Land! We wish to thank Dean scott, and Louise, what fun, and still with a great eye for the care we like, and then to find that one by one, all members of staff were just so helpful and fun also! What more could you ask for? Warmth in spades, Efficiency to take pleasure from, and an hotel where the client is the most important thing, AND without fuss. Food to die for and lovely wines to enjoy! Get down to Machrahanish treat yourselves soon !

Room Tip: Ask for the magnificent Sea views, nothing quite like it!

This is an excellent hotel. We stayed in room no 1 with a beautiful view over the sea. It was tastefully furnished and very clean. I had only one remark and that is that the bed was hard and a bit uncomfortable. It is a truly charming hotel with helpful staff and several places to eat. As I don't golf but my boyfriend do, I had the most remarkable walks along the beach during his golf playing.

Room Tip: Don't miss to ask for a room with a view. It is a stunning view over the sea.

The Ugadale Hotel has been successfully renovated to a high standard and is an excellent place to stay for playing at Machrihanish Golf Club and at the Dunes Course.
The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The cottages are also of a high standard and flexible for families or golfing groups.
For our 3 night stay on a dinner bed & breakfast basis, the breakfasts were excellent but the dinner menu was below average compared to hotels of similar quality and price.
Overall it is a nice place to stay and is reasonable value for money.

Room Tip: Try for a sea view room, the views are superb.

Machrihanish was always a neat place to visit but to be honest was very short of quality accommodations. NO MORE! Ugadale rooms, pub, restaurant, etc are all fantastic and just across the street from the Machrihanish GC. This is a great place to stay and we could not have enjoyed this nice little 4 star any more! Rooms are large and comfy ... loved it!

Room Tip: I think they are all good ... the cottages have nice large living areas if you need more space than the Ugadale hotel rooms, which are big anyway.
