Description: The Old Clubhouse Pub has been the site of good times and warm welcomes since 1876 when it served as the original clubhouse of the Machrihanish Golf Club back in the days of "Old" Tom Morris. The atmosphere at The Old Clubhouse is one of a relaxed old-world style golf pub serving up delicious pub food and locally sourced dinner offerings before becoming the host of nightly revelry for locals and guests alike.

Stopped in for lunch when touring the area last weekend, all staff we encountered were very friendly and the service excellent , we shared the amazing haggis nachos to start but the portion was so huge we had to leave a lot to make room for our next course, which was lovely tasting burgers and a chicken salad again really generous helpings.
Would stop in again if in the area.

Visited here twice for evening meals as staying at the nearby Camping Park. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Food was great value and plentiful. Great value as well, two main meals and three drinks all for under £30.

Wandered in on a Sunday lunchtime whilst visiting the area. Staff were enthusiastic and welcoming. My friend had the mac and cheese with hot smoked salmon and said it was lovely. I had the Nachos with Haggis (huge portion alert!). I returned to England with sunburn, proving that anything is possible in Scotland.

Pleasant ambience, friendly service and interesting menu. We had Cullen Skink followed by Haggis Nachos!

Went in here for a bar meal, 'greeted' by a disinterested bar maid, who 'welcomed' us by telling us which seats we couldn't sit in, instead of moving and showing where we could sit. Apart from a few customers at the bar all the tables were empty. Some tables had reserved signs on them so we chose one which didn't. We had just sat down and the bar man came over and slammed a reserve sign on the table and told us if we were waiting we would only have the table for an hour and would need to leave after that.

We obviously never waited for food as this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We were not made to feel welcome at all and the two members of staff gave the impression we were an inconvenience to them.

Absolutely rubbish service would most definitely not recommend this place to anyone
