I love Indian Springs. It's not fancy, but even after one day and night there I feel transformed. It's low key, with all the emphasis on unwinding and regaining a sense of wellness and well being. The pool is unparalleled. Huge, quiet (no cell phones allowed - and no food/ beverage service), thermal mineral waters keep it luxuriously warm at all times. They provide these fantastic foam floaties at no charge. Hotel guests can use the pool until midnight.
Rooms at the lodge are new and modern, very comfortable beds and linens. Not huge rooms, but comfortable, and a little more feeling of space because of the patios. The lodge rooms are more attractive than the cottages.
Cottages are adorable and comfortable. Furniture is somewhat tired and has the feel of a 1940's beach house to me. I loved having a kitchenette, and the extra space of the cottage. We stayed in # 13 and loved it.
They have free bikes, and you are walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Calistoga.More
