Stayed here several times for Week Getaways. You park outside the Reception Office and a golf cart awaits to whisk you to your retreat. Bye Bye car.
Very expensive accommodations but nice for a few days of quiet and doing nothing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit where each "area" is in its own separate structure. The common areas such as the kitchen and living rooms are separate free standing buildings. The living room is lovely with fireplace, tv screen and a sofa bed which can actually serve as a third bedroom.
Lakehouse Restaurant features delicious food, but you can also bring groceries to cook in your unit. We did half and half.
Spa treatments are top notch.
Calistoga has many nice restaurants. However, St Helena has more shops and restaurants for a nice stroll.More
