“Worst Customer Service Experience in 35 years of RVing”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Made reservations several months ago for three rigs for a family reunion. Was assured by Melanie of a satellite friendly space. Parked us under the trees with a clear southern view of the dumpsters. This is a dirt lot with absolutely no amenities. Asked to be moved to a vacant site and were refused. Became clear that he could move us, just didn't want to take the time. Friends were refused permission to set up in vacant site before 2 pm after driving two days to get here. The man behind the desk was purposely negative, unfriendly and uncooperative. Avoid this place if you can!

Level asphalt and gravel parking lot. Full hookup sites in trees may not get satellite reception if dish is on the roof. Partial hookups are 30 amp and water and has a few trees. There is a dump station. Two sites share the same power and water pedestal which causes the rigs to be parked door to door. The space between the two rigs is small. The park is right beside a motor race track. It probably could be loud if there is a race. You are within walking distance of town.

We chose to make reservations online, sight unseen because the pictures were attractive and we had a lovely time at the Napa RV Park. Both facilities are located on the county fairgrounds in the "wine country." We were very disappointed in the Calistoga facility! There was no grass, no table or benches which are nearly always at each site and as we learned, trees were available only at "premium" sites. Translates into an additional $5 for a total of $45 plus tax to park overnight in the dusty gravel. I would recommend just about any other option. Don't believe the pictures. As far a a welcome reception? No one was there when we checked in at 5 pm. The small sign at the door indicated the staff would return at 2 pm??? We hated the treeless spot to which we had been assigned so we chose a different site with a tree, in the nearly empty parking lot. As soon as we were set up, the man in the site right next to us walked over and said that we could stay for an additional $5 or move back to our assigned site. I really had nothing to indicate that he was even employed by the faculty so I requested a receipt. Nothing would convince me to return.

This basically a big level parking lot with facilities about 400 yards from Lincoln Avenue in Calitoga.
Our reception was friendly and there was a choice of sites available including pull through a.
Shaded sites are available under a few trees.
We opted for water and electric hook up - didn't need the sewage disposal this time.
A small RV at 25 ft (Cruise America rig - I'll try someone else next time as their customer service and vehicle preparation was sub-standard)
A very convenient site and just over $30 was good for the bank!

I read some not so positive reviews on yelp- I'm glad we tried it anyway! Beautiful pleasant park with ample room for our 70 foot train! Flat - slightly treed and easy to pull into. Cost effective at $34 for partial hookup $38 for full. We tow a car in the trailer. It is close to downtown so you could walk if you wanted. We also went to mud baths spa which is close by. We enjoyed our stay and will go back!
