“Unexpected delight”
Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

I had the pleasure of visiting "The Castle" back on Dec. 8, 2013. A friend of mine introduced me to not only a great atmosphere with a very accommodating staff, but great wines. I am very glad to now be a member and have great tasting wine available for my family and friends, but I soon hope to return to Castello di Amorosa.

“Amazing Replica of 15th Century Medieval Castle”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

I was wowed by the web site, reviews and pictures online long before we decided to visit. We were not disappointed! My husband and I visited Memorial Day weekend, and while it was crowded as expected, it was an amazing experience. Although it's only been open for about 7 years, this castle truly appears as if it's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. Taking 15 years to build, they imported nearly 100% of the brick, stone, iron work, and woodwork from Italy. The builders even chiseled down the stone stairs and bricks to give that aged look. We did the tasting and tour, and loved it. Honestly, I could've stayed another hour or two wandering the corridors and cellars, I found it beautiful. The only turnoff was the hard sell for wine during our tasting (think used car salesman hard sell), but the wine was good, the castle even better. A definite must-see if you love old European architecture and are visiting Napa.

“Tourist Trap”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

Its a wonderful site, albeit a bit further up the highway than one would like. It was crawling with wedding parties and such like. However, the bigger concern is that the wine is not much more than acceptable and in some cases quite a bit less. If you fancy wine or think that you do, save your time and BAC for another spot. On the other hand if you're looking for a scenic location this is nice

“enjoyed very much the wine taste tour”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

some special wines that you don't find in other wine place around the area. The tour is charged 34$ but it is worthy and you get a 1h45m experience in an Italian medieval replica castle
