My husband and I spent two nights at the Cottage Grove Inn in the Nautical cottage. The room was perfect. It was decorated in a way that was comfortable and not too B&B (no chintz, floral decor or potpourri infestation). We loved the fireplace, magazine selection, stereo system (with satellite radio) and deep jacuzzi tub. The lay-out of the Inn was great - cottages lined both sides of a little lane. It was like living in a cozy neighborhood. You could sit out on the porch and enjoy a drink, or step inside and block out the rest of the world. The cottages were private and quiet. Our room was located directly across from the office which concerned me at first, but we never heard a peep once we were inside our cottage. The only areas that need improvement are the breakfast and cocktail hour. The food selection at breakfast is not particulary good nor is the wine at the cocktail reception (surprising given the location in wine country!). Overall, it was a very nice stay! I would recommend it to others without hesitation.
