Loved the experience. Classic spa treatment... the mud bath was out of this world. I look forward to returning every time I visit Calistoga and recommend Dr. Wilkinson's therapy to my family and friends.

We decided to stay here as we had heard great things about this place, and we loved it. We arrived there without a reservation - we were travelling as 2 couples- and got 2 rooms next to each other (we stayed in Oct 2011). The rooms were lovely: spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. But I'll save the best this place has to offer til last: the indoor jet pool and the 2 outdoor pools - one is heated. After some time relaxing in them, you just feel amazing. Unfortunately we didn't have time to experience the mud and mineral baths. We just wish now that we could have stayed for more than one night, but our time was limited. A word on Calistoga: it's a great little town with some nice restaurants and places to have breakfast. And of course the short drive to several excellent wineries is well the worth your time. Highly recommended and we will definitely be staying there again.

Going to Dr.Wilkinson's for the mud bath and spa treatment is like stepping back in time -- in a good way! No pretentious new agey spa action here. White subway tiles and concrete floors. If chic atmosphere is what you seek, go elsewhere. If a wonderful and relaxing experience, in hot mud, mineral bath, sauna, and massage which makes your skin silky soft, releases the toxins and clears your mind, then dr.wilkinson's is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed here on the recommendation of friends who had visited a few months earlier and liked it. They described it as "cute, funky, and affordable". In fact, it's probably all of those things. We were disappointed when we arrived because we had been expecting more of a resort (reinforced by the name itself). In the 50s and 60s, it might indeed have qualified as that. Today, I'd call it a 1950s motel with an 1970s updated decor. It's clean, convenient, funky indeed, and met our needs if not our (perhaps unjustified) expectations. Some other reviewers complained about noise. Our room was quiet. The dark brown interior decor (rug, walls, bedspreads) makes rooms seem dingier than they probably are. Air conditioning was effective if noisy. Location was very nice. Since we spent most of our time driving around, wine-tasting, and visiting Napa and Sonoma sights, and very little time in the room, this was a perfectly acceptable option. Price was decent, though in the future we'd probably spring for a bit more in order to go to a more upscale place.

Just wanted to say thanks to Teresita for her help in getting a gift certificate for some friends. She did a truly awesome and amazing job; and, not only was she extremely helpful, most professional in doing her job, friendly, cheerful, polite; she also made sure that we received the gift certificate in record time. Once again, Teresita, THANK YOU!

We decided to visit Calistoga while our kindergartener was still on Christmas break. Dr Wilkinson's was the perfect hotel for our family and I'm so glad we stayed there. It is conveniently located at the end of the main road of town and there's a grocery store right next door, which was perfect for getting my one-year-old milk in the morning. It was also nice to be able to walk back to our hotel after a lovely dinner where both my husband and I could enjoy all that the wonderful Napa Valley is famous for!
We stayed in Bungalow 26 and it was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and they had the portable crib all set for us. The kitchenette in the room offered a refrigerator and a sink to wash bottles and sippy cups, and even a little stove to heat milk! The bungalows are located behind the outdoor pools away from the main areas and it worked out nicely. It felt like we had our own little area where my kids could play on the patio without disturbing others and then my husband and I could sit and enjoy some quiet conversation right outside our door once the kids went to sleep.
The best part of Dr Wilkinson's is the pools. They have 3 of varying degrees and they are crystal clear. My kids loved swimming and my daughter even made friends with the children of another family that was staying there. The pools are only available to guests, so it was never crowded and perfect for everyone in my family to enjoy without me worrying!
All in all, Dr Wilkinson's is a great hotel and I so appreciated it's relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Thank you for giving this busy mom a chance to unwind and enjoy some quality family time.

We decided to stay the night in Calistoga at the last minute and chose Dr Wilkinsons because we wanted to soak in the pools. We ended up staying in 2 of their bungalows. They are located just off the pools tucked away in the back of the property. They were clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the courtyard outside the bungalows. The kids were able to run around and play without disturbing any of the guests and the pools were easily accessible.

We were very happy with our stay at Dr Wilkinsons. The staff was friendly, the property was clean and the pools are crystal clear! We definitely plan to come back.
