This is Good Ole American Cooking we are talking about. My wife and I have taken to sharing some of the sandwiches for lunch because the portions are BIG. That goes for breakfast as well. The egg dishes are great and large. If you eat meat, the tri-tip is barbequed on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Pilots fly in from all over Southern California to eat it, which show how good it tastes. If you don't eat meat, there is plenty on the menu to chose from. Salads are very good......and large! Another item you can split if you are on a diet. If you aren't on a diet and are hungry, this IS the place. Weekends/Holidays can be crowded and the wait up to 45 minutes. I love watching the various planes take off and land while dining here. It is a FREE SHOW for the price of a meal!

We live in Camarillo so we go to the Waypoint Cafe at least twice a month. Where else can you enjoy a delicious meal and watch planes take off and land every few minutes. The burgers and tri-tip sandwiches are great for lunch (the latter only served on Wed and Saturday). For breakfast the waffles and pancakes are out of this world as are the omelets and the chicken fried steak and eggs. The service is always good. Warning: If you aren't there before 8 a.m. on Sat/Sun expect to wait about 30 minutes at least for breakfast, but the wait is well worth it. I wish I could say the Waypoint Cafe is a great "secret" cafe, but it seems that everyone has already discovered this gem.

I've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is fun and casual. Definitely busy on the weekend. Expect to wait 20 - 45 minutes, but it's interesting to watch the planes take off and land. The food is fresh, delicious and plentiful. Ladies, you may want to consider sharing the salads - they are huge! My nephews had the chocolate malt and couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the chocolate frozen to the side of the glass.
