After spending two nights at the Fogcatcher Inn, I am thoroughly relaxed and rejuvinated!! The hotel is across the street from beautiful Moonstone Beach and a boardwalk that leads all along the coastline.
Our room was an upstairs King that had a fireplace,a view of the ocean, a microwave and refrigerator, and a nice spacious bathroom. The room was large in size and the bed was really comfy. I loved falling asleep every night listening to the ocean. The fireplace also worked great as a heater.
The staff behind the desk was really friendly. They helped us make reservations for dinner both nights and I loved the fresh baked cookies when we checked in.
Breakfast was great. There were eggs and sausages, waffles, pastries, cereal, fruit and many other options. It was nice to not have to forge for breakfast every morning. During breakfast, I was surprised to see how many people were staying at the hotel, because we hardly ever heard or saw anyone else. It was perfect!
Next time we come to Cambira, we will definitely stay at the Fogcather again!!

We spent 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There is ample room for a family of four with 2 queens beds in the room. The rooms themselves are well decorated and very clean.
The continental breakfast is really tasty and the waffle machine a complete bonus. The location of the Inn is perfect with the beach a short walk across the quiet street. The staff were friendly and helpful with our enquiries regarding the town and restaurants etc.
We plan to return again next year!

We stayed at the Fogcatcher Inn for one night on our way up the coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco. It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere, and the staff were really welcoming. There are four of us, and our room was really big, the beds were comfortable, and the fireplace in the room gave it a really cosy feel. Breakfast was great, with lots of selection, both hot and cold. It is right next to the beach, although it was foggy on the morning we were there, but I suppose that is where it gets its name!

This Inn is in a lovely location. It is one of several Inns located along Moonstone Beach. We couldn’t really appreciate the beach though, due to a bit of fog that descended on the area. It is located across from the beach and it was lovely to hear the sea. We received a warm welcome from staff. Justin was very helpful in advising us on local restaurants. A lovely fish restaurant, the Sea Chest, is just five minutes walk from the Inn.
We stayed in a double king. It was a really charming clean room. The bed was comfortable. The room was decorated in a very cosy way, making it feel a bit like staying in a relatives rather than an Inn. It had a separate closet cum vanity area that had the usual iron and ironing board, bathrobes, fridge and coffee pot. There was a gas fire in case it got chilly.
Breakfast was good, as a wide variety of foods were available. The breakfast room consisted of seating on one portion of the room and the kitchen area took up the rest of the space. One could make oatmeal in the microwave provided in the kitchen. A waffle maker was to hand to make your own waffles. If neither appeals there was also hot food (eggs, sausages etc.) and cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juice etc. The only issue to be aware of is that the breakfast room is quite small so at busy times finding a table may be difficult without a wait.
The property overall was well cared for and very picturesque.
There is a pool and spa but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to try these.
The Fogcatcher is approximately 10 minute drive to the Hearst estate. We would stay here again. Just a shame we couldn’t have stayed longer.

I have stayed at the FogCather Inn many tiomes over the years. It is a beautifully maintained property. The grounds are like a park. The pool and spa are very nice. The breakfast is really great with lots of good choices for any taste.

Cambria is worth a stop and this inn is a great place to stay at the end of your Big Sur or San Simeon road trip. You cannot miss the best Pan Asian restaurant, Wild Ginger (they'll give you a map) we've ever been in (and we've been in them all over the world). Great beds, great location, smallish pool, but so what? I'd return!

Was not sure what to expect when my husband booked this. The person at the desk was very polite and helpful on the phone when we needed directions. He handed us warm cookies as we checked in. The rooms looked like quaint cottages from the outside and were tastefully decorated inside. There was a fireplace and quality linens on the bed. Breakfast the next morning had an excellent selection. Everything was wonderful.
