We happened to see this Inn as we were walking around Cambria. We stopped in to see if someone would show us a room. The person in charge was very friendly and showed us three different rooms. All are suites, spacious with large bathrooms and terrific beds and bedding. We were treated to a glass of wine in the evening and then to a delicious breakfast the next morning. We will stay there again!

We spent two days at this small inn. The inn is located in the east village near many shops and places to dine. We found the staff friendly, the rooms very large, We had a king suite upstairs in the annex and it was a true suite. We enjoyed wine with other guest at 5 pm, and walked to dinner to Robins just down the street and Fresh Ginger a few blocks way. This location was close to shops, close to places to eat . The one minus would be that bathrooms need to be updated, as faucets, have worn paint. But this is minor compared to what you get. Second floor rooms are a walk up, but their are ramps to get to the first floor. We had a breakfast of fruit, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and coffee. I would have like to see more herbal teas. But we found all in all this to be a great find. We booked on their own website for the best price, their was a special rate for multiple nights. We would go back.

We loved the inn, the setting, the location & the fabulous suite. We are one of those choosing a 2 night stay in Cambria to visit Hearst Castle. Cambria itself is only a very short walk from the Inn and it is such a pretty little town with good dining and drinking options.

Our suite (I believe one of the smaller ones) was huge. The bathroom was perhaps a little old-fashioned but the decor and furnishings of the whole suite were lovely. It was very clean and the bed was oh-so comfortable. There was certainly ample space for all our luggage - 3 large suitcases (we were away for 4 weeks) - and plenty of room to move around plus we appreciated a ground floor suite with all our cases. Such a shame it was only 2 nights as it was the best accommodation we had in the four weeks. Ideal location for a visit to Hearst Castle. The price was very reasonable especially with the space and standard of accommodation.

We would not hesitate in staying at the Burton Inn again if we are ever in the area and we would highly recommend anybody to stay here. We did not have the breakfast so are unable to comment.

My only negative would be in the bedroom there was a great desk but no mirror for ease of use for doing hair & make-up to double up as a dressing table. This is a negative comment I have used in many places as so many accommodations seem to do the same.

Stayed 2 nights in November. We were there to do the Hearst Castle, which is only about 20mins away, if that. There are places to stay closer, but I did not know that until we had been to the castle. The Burton Inn is really two buildings. We were in the building to the left of the main building as you look directly at it. We were on the top floor….only 2floors, but the steps are steep and there is no elevator. The room we had was immense! It consisted of a very large bedroom en suite, large flat screen TV, separate large living room with two couches, large screen tv, small galley kitchenette with refrigerator. Very clean. Nancy who greeted us was very attentive, and Maria who prepares the breakfast (makes your eggs to order) does a perfect "over easy". The the continental spread was very adequate and with pastries, toast, etc. Attached is photo of breakfast, served in the designated dining room…really delightful… Sleep at night totally undisturbed--no noise whatsoever.

Room Tip: If you have issues with your knees or stair climbing, you need a ground floor.

An ideally situated and charming B&B, The Burton Inn offers clean beautiful rooms (ask for the Honeymoon Suite or The Nautical Room), gracious hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. Don't miss the happy hour where guests can enjoy wine in a cozy atmosphere and share stories or listen to music. The Burton Inn is not to be missed if you are staying in Cambria or just passing through.

Room Tip: The Honeymoon Suite is cozy, quiet and comfortable and the upstairs room (lots of stairs) is beautif...

We visited and Cambria and were looking for a hotel there seemed to be 4 to choose from and we chose Burton Inn - We had a suite at the front, the staff were very friendly, the rooms spacious and clean and the breakfast was healthy and delicious. We were given an excellent recommendation for supper - staying at the burton certainly enhanced our enjoyment of Cambria
