A real lodge in the pines above Cambria, Nice. Great service and good food. All entrees include a starch and veggie.Side salads are $6 extra, Meal includes good bread.I had the prime rib. It was excellent. It came with green beans that were fresh and well prepared. My wife got the ravioli and it was poor, The thick cut pork chop was good. The sea scallops looked good but don't believe that they would have filled me up.
Nice menu. Dinner for 4 before tip was around $160. One glass of wine and one beer, No dessert.Liked the whole package that this place offered

We stayed at the Lodge for 2 nights, a great little package from Travelzoo. The first night we had vouchers for dinner and had a fantastic prime rib and scallops. Much more than we expected. The server was new, so service wasn't quite as good as it could have been, but the meal more than made up for that. The complementary wine was very good, too.
Be happy to return.

We stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge for four nights (with a Travel zoo special), and ate at the restaurant for two nights. Let me say, the best part was our very friendly waitresses and sitting outside. Unfortunately, that's it....the food is completely tasteless. We had the salmon, mahi-mahi, swordfish and scallops. All were totally bland. With Morro Bay right next door, this should not be the case. The vegetables, rice and mashed potatoes also lacked flavor. The saying "you get what you pay for" rang true. The dinners were free, and that's exactly what they were worth.
Sorry Cambria Pines, you get it right in so many ways, but not when it comes to your food.

This place is fine, not stellar by any means. A bit expensive for the quality. My husband hated the shrimp pasta, my filet was just "fine." Dessert was alright, and we didn't like the goat cheese app at all. Service in the restaurant is sllloooooww, but in the bar is great.

I dined at the Cambria Pines Lodge Restaurant on a Sunday at 1:30 pm. I and my guest were the only diners! The ambience is OK, nothing special except for the lovely garden views. I ordered fish & chips. The fish was Alaskan red snapper (Cambria is near Morro Bay, a commercial fishing village that makes fresh fish available to local restaurants). I received three smallish pieces, breaded, thin, and overcooked. The fries were not crisp and a little oily. The only accompaniments were tartar sauce and ketchup. The water tasted like unfiltered tap water. Service was fine. This disappointing lunch, plus one beer, tax and tip, came to $20—an outrageous price for the quality received. My companion's fish tacos fared little better and hopelessly fell apart when picked up.
