My boyfriend and I always stay here when in cambria. We usually are able to book the king room with the patio, which has a partial view of the ocean out the back. The fireplace keeps the room especially warm in the winter months ( we like to go during off peak periods). Easy access to the beach and the seating area is just as nice to watch the sunset from the hotel. We don't bring our dogs, but we love the fact that it is dog friendly and the rooms are kept clean. You would never even know!

Cambria Shores Inn has by far been the best place we have stayed at on our road trip!! Recently remodeled, the attention to detail is fantastic! The staff truly made us feel like we were their guests! Breakfast is delivered to the door in a picnic basket and it has muffins, bagels, fruit, orange juice with silverware and cloth napkins. We wanted to stay another night and were disappointed they were full. The manager, Sean, helped us find another place and recommended a restaurant, all which were great!!

This place is always good from check in to check out which we always hate. Most rooms have a view . You can set out and watch the ocean or sunset cookies are home mad and so are the brownies. coffee is always fresh. Plenty of biskets for the dog. Now what really matters
The rooms are clean the bed is good the linen is fresh the fire place works and the heaters. the veiw is great the lacation great and the most friendly staff you could ask for always willing to help with any thing. We always come once a year this time in oct we got to see the scare crows that was fun. New dog friendly resturant Robbings it is very good.

Room Tip: Room 3 looks right down the beach we were in room 2 and it also has a view of the beach

I was very much impressed with this hotel as soon as I walked into the door. We stayed in room 13. Seems that the last room, room 25 is the best and has a great view of the ocean and a patio. Apparently, the south rooms also have little patios in the back. The details of the rooms are very special. There was attention to even the smallest little things such as:

* Gas fireplace on timer
* Drawers below fireplace area with plenty of space
* DVD player with many DVD's to choose from in the front-office
* VERY comfy bed
* A live plant
* Artistic table and headboard made of burlwood
* Dimmers on the lights (very helpful when I was on my computer while my husband wanted to sleep)
* Doggy amenities (two doggie treats -plus a huge basket full of all dog can eat treats in the office, a towel for when he comes off the beach, two water and food bowls)
* cushy and new towels
* A nice coffee maker and excellent coffee and creamer (plus an endless supply in the office with tea as well)
* A huge granite stone countertop for the sink where there is plenty of room to prep food
* An iron and ironing board
* a cutting board
* silverware, plates, cloth napkins, glassware (water and wine), corkscrew
* microwave
* mini fridge
* Ample outlets to plug in
* good quality stone and woodwork
* Nice big tub
* High quality fixtures

The basket breakfast delivered to our room was a great touch. In it we had a bagel (that we toasted in the office), two bananas, a poppy seed muffin, cream cheese, a caraf of orange juice, and two apples. We are light eaters and this was perfect for us. It was a very sweet touch.

I have read others' reviews and about the breakfast, but really people...for a hotel that is right across the beach (all of the hotels on this stretch are across the street from the boardwalk so that there is unobstructed views along the boardwalk) and very catering to our furry friends, this is simply a bonus.

The dogs really have it made here. Finally, we were not feeling bad about having our dog with us on our travels. We typically feel as though we are just tolerated having a dog and not really friendly. The carpet in the room looks like a cross between astroturf and industrial carpet that was suited to the dogs. Seems as though there are two non-dog rooms. I know 8 is one of them. It was funny to read the reviews in the little guest book in the room about the dogs. Ummm hello....it really is catered to dogs and their owners!!

The staff is also very nice and friendly.

There is really nothing I can say bad about this place!

Room Tip: choose a room that is facing the road or else room 25.

This fine ocean side inn doesn't just allow dogs, they cater to them with treats, blankets, and towels. It is also a wonderful, beautiful, relaxing spot for everyone else. Conveniently located in Cambria. Across the road from the boardwalk, the road is not too busy during the day and almost deserted in the evening.

Room Tip: the tip is to make sure to make a reservation, it is getting well known to couples or families trave...

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary with our 2 pups here. It was the perfect stay. It's very pet friendly. When you check in, they give you a basket with bowls, mats, towel, doggy biscuits, list of doggy restaurants friendly, etc. The room was clean, decent view and just right for us and our 2 small pups. it had a nice fireplace, comfy bed, but pillows...i would have brought my own next time. The staff here are all very friendly and good with dogs. They even have cheese, crackers, brownies(yummy) out in the front office around 6pm.
The courtyard was beautiful and open. There was plenty of seats to watch the beautiful sunset while drinking wine or what have you. The beach was right across the way. They have an area off to the side where your dogs can do their business. Overall Cambria Shore Inn was the perfect spot for us. We will definitely come back here.

Was driving by looking for a picnic spot and were on the beach in front of this inn and asked if they had a ocean view room available, pet friendly, and they had one left and we took it. Very nicely appointed as other posters have noted.
