Our two night stay in room 202 was definitely a positive experience. The hotel staff was very helpful and smalltown-friendly. The exterior is updated and more modern than most of the inns in the area. Strange but that gave us an immediate feeling of satisfaction.
The room was impeccably clean. I know because I dropped my keys and had to look under the side table and noticed the floor was spotless. Thank you housekeeping. The second floor room has a beautiful view of the ocean and we ate breakfast outside on the balcony each morning. The staff brings your breakfast (oatmeal, fruit, juice, coffee) to your room each morning. We were delighted to see that they had a non-dairy option. The room also had crisp, clean sheets and a comfortable bed...although slightly too soft for my liking.
Do not be worried that there is a road in between the inn and the ocean (we had our doubts) because there is very little traffic and is mostly foot traffic. You just hear waves.
Nightlife in Cambria is pretty much nonexistent so be prepared. Everything closes and 9 or earlier and this was summertime. Luckily we had the jacuzzis in the back of the property.
